Hello,

Have you heard Red Skelton saying the Pledge of Allegiance? Somehow he knew the future!

Don’t miss this and please feel free to share:

Best regards to you & all that are important to you,

One of my favorites, ladies. TheOldGuy saw that live when he first did it on his show.

God bless America, respect the flag and FLY your flag. And God bless our troops. Hurry home, Y'all.

Very thoughtful Post Trio, thank you! I also want to wish all of my fellow Americans a safe and enjoyable 4th of July! A special "Thank You" and "Be Safe" goes out to all of those serving Our Country in the Armed Services. :uncle-sam-emoticon-pointing.gif :usagif:

On a lighter note, Fyona and Vicky have given us a different slant on the saying "Let's run it up the flagpole and see who salutes".   Thank you ladies!

"How to Celebrate the 4th of July"

Join in celebrating the birth of our nation, and in recalling what the Declaration of Independence has meant to the cause of freedom and limited government. History is repeating now with bunch in D.C!

"Two hundred thirty-six years ago this Fourth of July, 57 men signed the document that created the American republic. They represented a people of about 3 million grouped in a series of 13 colonies along the eastern seaboard of the United States. They were all wanted men, sought by the commander of the British forces in North America for sedition and treason. He had behind him the resources of the greatest military power on earth. They had behind them the bare beginnings of a government, hardly anything of an army, but something mighty in the way of an idea..."

Also, remember to set aside a few minutes to read the Declaration of Independence with your family and friends at your 4th of July celebrations.

Download a copy of the Declaration of Independence

Read it and think about today! We are all so lucky to be here.

God Bless the USA!

When I saw the Twin Towers, I instantly remembered again where I was and what I was doing when I heard the 09/11/01 news ...

Gert-Jan:

Ok..let's try this again with correct spelling lol! Thanks Gert-Jan! Yes, I can remember where & what I was doing when the 911 tragedy occurred, too.

We were in NY in March 2001 and took a great pic of the twin towers as we taking off on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. Since 2001, we've visited NY again and saw the open space where the towers were located which led us to utter disbelief to say the least! This was before they reconstructed the area.

This video carries you through lots of stuff that makes me proud to be an American......Kisha
