I had to shut down during Carmens show yesterday due to thunderstorms too close. But got almost no rain out of it. Other parts of town did, but the actual rain bypassed me. So lotsa noise but no wet stuff.

We're in Camrose at The Big Valley Jamborie, been here since Thursday, it rained hard that night but has been nice since then. It's about 25C here, but severe storm warnings, so they made the back of the stage so the wind will blow through it. They say high winds, thunderstorms and large hail, just another prarire night.

those who like to use the fan+ice cube in a bowl of water method to stay cool, i found that they don't last very long

But here's an idea, replace ice cubes with BLUE ICE PACKS, they're designed to last longer, hours and hours.

better yet use those Frogg Togg and Chill it towels i've talked about in a previous post a page or 2 back. they really work !

Last night during the concert, it didn't just rain, it fucking poured, Toby Kieth never stopped, but said "if you guys are gonna stay through this shit, so will we" A few minutes later the power went off and it started hailing, I curled up in the mud under a chair, damn they hurt! After a while the power was back on and it was raining again he came back on and finished his set. Most of us were covered in mud, lots of naked girls too!

Today it's going to be hot, well for us it's hot 27C and they say more thunderstorms tonight, oh great!

We worked at the animal shelter today in the pouring rain, not many people showed up, so a lot of dogs didn't get walked. We did as many as we could in between the downpours.... poor Dave, all those massive pitbulls around, and he gets bitten by a chihuahua....lol..... Then we went to eat at PeiWei and sat there shivering in the blasting AC because we were soaked to the bone....

Cudos Vicky and Dave for working with the dogs today :) Walking in the rain in Florida is like taking a walk in the shower but if you mix in some A/C with that can get you a nasty cold. Good on ya you two :)

The storm we had Saturday night hit moms farm really hard. The house and barn have some damage, but machine shop part of the roof is gone and a wall has twisted. The problem is all the equipment for the harvest is in there. The doors aren't working so I have to cut them off to get everything out. The double wide door where the swather and combine are the ones I'm gonna cut off, that end looks more stable. I do have a plan, but I'm also crossing my fingers that it works

Vicky, I had no clue what I was doing to be honest. My first idea didn't work when I saw where I was the door might fall on me. So I hooked a chain around the bottom of the door and pulled it off with the tractor. Was creepy being in there not knowing if the roof was gonna hold up, but it did. took a few hours to get everything out.

It's 30C here and I couldn't enjoy it

Although, the temps weren't that high today, 84 to 88 degrees, now it's 79 degrees but the humidity was really bad today! And the mosquitoes are biting too. I'm staying indoors with the A/C on.
