2 explosions, 2 dead, 23 injured... how scary, i am afraid to go to any school or any event with more than 10 people attending now! What the hell is going on? All I see on tv ever is violence, shootings, knifings, what is this world coming to? I want to run off and live in the woods by myself in a cabin or find a cave somewhere.

I have never been able to understand why the cowards who live among us find pleasure in ruining innocent people's lives. What pleasure do they take out of killing unarmed, civilians who are enjoying all that life has to offer. Are we supposed to cower in our basements and live under a blanket? How does a mother explain to her kids tonight that their Dad, who was fulfilling a lifelong dream of running in the Boston Marathon isn't coming home tonight?

I'm sad for so many people right now.

I have lost count of how many times people answer "religion" to the number one question - Why?? -, every time something hideous as this occurs.

There's NO religion at all that tells you to blow up buildings, or yourself, and hurt an immense amount of people by doing so... :icon_sad:

It's very disturbing to me...The moment I saw it, I shut my TV off, then viewed my FB page...posted there--logged off...came here and we seem to feel the same sentiments.

There are times when I have few words to say, such as situations like these...ummmm---I just have a tendacy to shake my head & at times cry :crying2: especially when children are involved.

Just maybe, maybe one day things will get better...

Just heard about this. Hurting so much for all of the victims. Latest I heard is 2 dead, incl 8-yr-old and 110 injured. No name calling or finger pointing yet, people, please.

Tears and prayers for all involved.

Kisha, don't hide from it, watch and learn about it, and pray for those involved (I know you are.)

It is always the same motivation for stupid bomb throwers, doing such insanity:

If they can't attack the so called "responsible people" because they are professionally protected they always attack the innocent.
The message is: You can't hide! You can't protect everyone! We can touch you everywhere at any time! We get your attention whenever we want!
You can't stop us because we don't care about anything! bla...bla...bla...

Yes, that's true...but now, should we hide under our blankets or stick our heads into the sand? No!
Defiantly, I go on & live my life as good as I can and always do my best... that's my motto.

For me this terror attack looks like a copy of the one in Norway by Anders Breivik.
The authorities will find this coward as well and he then should rot in hell for the rest of his crappy life.
He threw it away...

So sad

When I heard this I felt so sick, it came across the radio all I thought was why? I know we can't hide away and put our heads in the sand, but I'm so glad I live in such a small town.

I heard about the bombing from a customer at work; apparently it happened while I was enroute to my job.

Prayers and thoughts go out to the families of those who lost their lives, and to those injured.

And, I don't care what the motive or the intent of for those cowardly assholes who committed this deed; Hell should be a pleasantry compared to the ass kicking they deserve...and will ultimately get. With a fair and legal trial, of course.

This is the United States of America. We don't play. Especially after 9-11-01. Left, Right, or Center....when someone kicks us; we kick back...HARDER. Expect us, fools.

It's hard to imagine just how the hell someone can think they will get away with something like this. Especially in todays world.

Written by Patton Oswalt:

Boston. Fucking horrible.

I remember, when 9/11 went down, my reaction was, "Well, I've had it with humanity."

But I was wrong. I don't know what's going to be revealed to be behind all of this mayhem -- one human insect or a poisonous mass of broken sociopaths.

But here's what I DO know. If it's one person or a HUNDRED people, that number is not even a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population on this planet. You watch the videos of the carnage and there are people running TOWARDS the destruction to help out. (Thanks FAKE Gallery founder and owner Paul Kozlowski for pointing this out to me). This is a giant planet and we're lucky to live on it but there are prices and penalties incurred for the daily miracle of existence. One of them is, every once in a while, the wiring of a tiny sliver of the species gets snarled and they're pointed towards darkness.

But the vast majority stands against that darkness and, like white blood cells attacking a virus, they dilute and weaken and eventually wash away the evildoers and, more importantly, the damage they wreak. This is beyond religion or creed or nation. We would not be here if humanity were inherently evil. We'd have eaten ourselves alive long ago.

So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, "The good outnumber you, and we always will."

Excellent post Walt. How true it is that when tragedy happens, it is in our nature to run towards it and lend a hand. While my heart aches for those who have perished or were wounded, and my thoughts go out to all of those caring for the wounded, I actually pity those that perpetrated this evil act. Why? Because they will never know about that goodness is all about.

It never fails to astound me how fast Law Enforcement can jump on something like this and get results. Of course, people that commit this kind of atrocity are never known for their intelligence. Three and a half days from nothing to one dead, one on the run.

But then, like I said, the two suspects appear to be just garden variety idiots, not intelligent at all. My guess is Mr. WhiteHat will go down in a blaze of gunfire, and I say good riddance.

... and apparently some other idiot is impersonating him on Twitter!? :wtf:

How do you ever get past this? A girl from our boxing gym ran the race, she finished 19 minutes before the explosion went off, she was originally supposed to stay in boston and hang out a bit, but then all she wanted to do was get home and be in her husband's arms. There was a lady who stopped just short of the finish because she had a cramp in her leg, she bent over to massage her leg, the explosion went off and a dismembered leg flew past her head! That picture will be in her mind for a long time to come. How do you get over losing your husband or your 8 year old son at an event that was supposed to be fun and for charity? No, death is not good enough for these heartless soulless bastards. Somehow it's still not fair, there really is no such thing as justice even if they are caught.

No, there can never be justice. There can be retribution, but there can never be justice for the murder of innocent people, simply living their lives.

I love it when they choose to "shoot it out," though. That's about as close to justice as you can get, when their bullet-riddled bodies are laid out for all to laugh at.
