I was in Puerto Rico over the weekend with my boy and his girl. my boy Steve is black from DC and his girl is also Black from somewhere else in America. Angelina,thank you for being honest and calling it for what it is. This is one of the reasons I like you,you aren't afraid to say whatever is on your mind and don't care what anyone else thinks. I'll be completely honest with you. I'm of mixed race and I'm light skinned,but I identify myself as black. You can hear it in the way I talk,my use of slang. I love women of all colors,shapes,sizes,nationality. I don't see color,I see what is in a person's heart. That's what matters to me first and foremost. I have not really dated black women even though there are some attractive women out there. I have always been attracted to white women. Since I was a kid growing up. People who want to judge others based on skin color and not who a person really is,on the inside,are the ones who have hate in their hearts. It kills them to see it,and despite us having a black president which is a first,there is still hate out there in America. I like Obama and the things he's done to change this country for the best. Most people don't like it and that's their opinion. But if they didn't vote for him,they have no right to complain. That's why voting is so powerful in this country. Most people in other countries don't have the freedom to vote for who they want. They are told how to live,what to do,what to think what to say. I couldn't live in a place like that. I would want to have the freedom to do what I want,live how I want,say what I want,date who I want,without anyone saying you can't.

I haven't been one to speak my mind on here when it comes to issues like this,but when I saw this post,I was moved and inspired by you Angelina to put my feelings in on this matter and say things about how I feel. Thank you Angelina for speaking your mind and keeping it real. I love you for it,and I will stand behind you and support you always,in whatever you do.

Changing people's thinking is a long slow process, and may never be totally complete. My thinking is that people in the South especially (and many other places, too,) are still brought up with the thought processes that sparked the Civil War, Blacks hate whites and whites hate blacks. Some blacks hate Spanish and Mexican (I assume that anger includes Cuban,) and some Spanish and Mexican hate Blacks. Many Whites have a holier-than-thou attitude and simply haven't grown up. They hate Orientals and Indians, and most evryone else. Someone will always hate someone else just because of the color of their skin. They are brought up that way, and most won't change.

But I do believe that every generation of haters delivers a few that, by growing up, despite being taught to hate, overcome that and learn to love. It's a long slow process. Angelina, for your part, you can help by living your life the way you want, and by simply ignoring those others. Forgive them, Lord, for they know not what they do.
