Rokker: I've heard good things about this place.

The convention center is on one side of the street. Basically across the street (and a bit behind the hotels but in complete walking distance) is Rosemont's MB Financial Park.

In that area all clustered together is:

MAybe this is of topic but would it be good idea to get citypass? http://www.citypass.com/chicago Skydeck Chicago looks intresting. Im just staying Chicago 10-17 july so not so much time and I know I will be busy in weekend when its Exxotica. Im sure I can help to arrange something in convention center before Exxxotica if there is something to do and help needed.

If you have the time to visit the city, fused, I would say that' a great idea. A lot of folks only have time to come for the weekend, so they don't have time to see the city. But, in a way, it's a shame to go all that way and not have time to see the sights.

So, I would say, go for it. keep plenty of spare batteries for your camera, and get out and see things. And I'd say that CityPass is a great way to do that. Also look around for city transportation (busses, trains, etc,) and for all-day passes. A great way to get around.
