for me a day without some kind of exercise is like a day without sunshine.
So a while ago I was talking to some friends and they were asking me about different exercises and I was giving them ideas. A few asked me if I could help them out. I looked in our garage and found a few things I could use, then went to the pawn shop bought a few things and then to the school. I knew they had some old equipment they never used, bought it and I had a mini gym.
It started as just a few, but word got out and a few more wanted in, so one morning when I was out for my walk I saw a bay for rent. I asked about it and I did lots of sucking up
to get the money. I went to Grande Prairie and bought a bunch of bands, rings, medicine balls, a chin up bar, dumb bells, more mats and a few other things, mostly used. It's amazing at pawn shops how much used gym equipment is there and cheep.
There was only 8 people and most wanted to do fat burning and toning. I got the idea one night sitting there why don't I challenge them to see who can lose the biggest % of weight, and after 2 months I'd give the winner $1000. I put up some posters around town and within 2 weeks I had 24 people there and they went as teams of 2 to be more accountable. I charged each of them $150, and looking back I should have charged more. The guy I rented from him and his wife both signed up and she's trying to convince him to give me the bay for free, my fingers are crossed for that. I only run it from 7-11pm, cause I do work part time during the day and helping the kids at the school, and I'll never quit helping those kids out.
Next Saturday I'm gonna have a Halloween workout at 7-8 and 8:30-9:30, it's gonna be free, but they have to bring a donation to the food bank and a pumpkin. Not sure what I'm gonna do, but I'll make it kick ass hard.
Other then that I've been sitting on my ass relaxing
