The new planet of the apes looks really good, getting great reviews! I'm going out for dinner with Cleopatra tomorrow, maybe I'll suggest we go see it after! Question: weren't there other remakes? I haven't seen anything since way back, the original series, God can't even remember what year that was, lol.. so do I need to see the other remakes first before I see this one?

There's one before it Rise of the Planet of Apes came out in 2011 which was pretty good. I haven't seen Dawn yet so not sure how much you need to see the first one. Rise sets up how they became smart and Dawn is 10 years later.

Connie and I went to "Planet of the Apes" yesterday...good summer time fun at the movies. It won't win any Academy Awards but it was fun.

We saw Godzilla earlier this summer...once again a good visual movie...the story was a little lame but who cares, its summer for god sakes.

If you want "The Notebook" type movies wait for Christmas :)

So I finally saw The new Planet of the Apes movie.... it was raining the entire time I was in GA, so the perfect thing to do... maybe it's because I read the reviews first, I should never do that... but I did and so I was really expecting a lot. I just wasn't overwhelmed at all... it didn't really hold my attention. I love when a movie has you riveted, you are fixed on it, just 100% involved. Well I wasn't. I found my mind wandering, thinking about things I had to do, etc... I gotta say the apes were great, the expressions and their eyes were moving, but with such limited dialogue you never really got to know any of them. There wasn't a lot of character building, even on the humans... like we barely knew anything about the kid or the girlfriend. Not enough details or history to get to know them and feel for them... that's just my opinion...

Sex Tape was funny as hell, I saw the Purge and it was a good movie knowing I didn't see the first one. But both movies were entertaining. Now I am waiting for Hercules and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

We went and saw Sex Tape on the weekend, lots of laughs and some hot scenes too. We were they only ones in the back row and I thought, lets have some fun. Just as I got his zipper down four people move to the back row. I looked at him and said "sorry, this ain't gonna happen now!" He gave them the "you bastards" look. Good thing was I got to watch all the movie

Edge of Tomorrow was surprisingly good.
Sex Tape very funny.
Captain America the film of the year for action/drama.
Godzilla was da Bomb!! Does anybody say that anymore?
Looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy, Expendables 3 and Sin City 3.
Apprehensive about TMNT because Michael Bay produced it.
The movie I loved this year that I'm not sure anybody here would have seen because they might have thought it a kids film was How to Train Your Dragon 2. Excellent film. Good emotional moments and probably the best animation I've ever seen in an animated feature. You could see it cold too. The first one is very good and lays the ground work for the future installments, but you could see this without seeing that and be totally on pint throughout.

22 Jump Street was surprisingly hilarious.

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman 2016---in the end all other things are irrelevant ;-)
