I forgot to mention that on Monday night after a day of site-seeing in LA I decided to go for a Thai Massage. I've heard about it but have never indulged in such a rigorous massage technique. I mean how hard on your body can this be?

My first tip-off should have been the two bars stretching across the massage room over the table. Its a pressure massage really...the masseuse applying pressure inch by inch over your body...first with hands and then she jumped up on the table, and then on the back of my legs with her entire body, moving all over..and then she stood up, grabbed the poles stretching across the massage room for balance as she began applying pressure with her nimble feet...first on my arms, then the small of my back, up and down my legs, spending time working my gluteus maximus, and then she made it back to my back!!! Imaging the entire weight of a mid-sized Thai woman applying her entire weight directly over your lungs and rolling up on the ball of her feet while bouncing up and down slightly to break your ribs and push what is left of the air out of your now bruised lungs!! Thats a Thai massage!!

This torture lasted for what seemed like FOREVER and when I thought it was over, boy was I wrong. Now comes the time for the full body assault of stretching...things that you have never stretched before got stretched. Things on my body that have never snapped before got snapped.

Finally and mercifully it was over. My $40.00 hour long full body assault was done. I was only happy to be alive. When I got back to my room Connie only laughed hysterically as I looked like had gone 12 rounds with Mike Tyson. How could a 130lb Thai woman put such a licking on me?

Word of advise from me tonight: If getting a Thai Massage is on your bucket list of crap to do before you die, start a new list !!!

I finally am able to sit down and post a couple of photos. Right now I'm getting ready for another show, meanwhile juggling with some artwork and life in general. It was awesome to be there, both as a vendor as well as a VNA member. Looking forward to the next one!
