Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too, Vicky! My wife and I went with the family to the local St. Patrick's Day parade this past Saturday, but that was it. We've been too busy to even plan going out at all. In Mexico this holiday is not celebrated at all, so it's relatively new to me. I remember when I suddenly see everybody wearing green. Definitely a fun holiday, though!
I read your blog and I have much respect for what you mentioned. I don't drink. I never have (if you put together all the alcohol I have drank in my life, it probably amounts to a six pack... most likely less). I know myself, and 1) it wouldn't bring something I really want/need, and 2) I would probably get really hooked (I have the tendency to do that). So, really, there isn't anything for me in alcohol. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-alcohol. I think that, like in everything in life, it is meant for some, and for other is not. I don't smoke maryjane either (or any other smoke, for that matter), but I'm a big supporter of it. People should be able to make their choices. Some will make good choices, some others will only make screw up ones. But that's life. Again, thank you for sharing that, just glad that you decided to look ahead, and 29 years later, this is where you are.
So, everybody, have a happy St. Patrick's Day. You don't need to pass out drunk to enjoy it. But, if you do, at least do it safely... or at least post some selfies, so we can remind you how you looked.
