Hey HT! Nope, to be honest, I suck at it. I've been commissioned a couple times, and I'm just not good at sequential art. My drawings usually take a different direction from each other, even when it's the same model on all of them. It was hard for me to keep the same consistent style, because I always get ideas and go with whatever I feel at that moment. I'm curious, though, did you have any ideas?

well, i was thinking some kind of fun adventure strip, like daily stuff that happens to the girls, or going off to conventions but always having funny problems
or a cute scene here or there like the Saddle Ranch Banquet with all the girls in 1 panel, that would be epic

Yeah, that's a good idea. The comic strip thing, as I explained, is something that really gives me a hard time. But I like the idea of one panel situations. That's more up my alley, since it would be more like a single illustration or cover. I only have to do one and then move on to the next. I can't promise that I'll do that immediately, but I'll definitely keep it in mind. Something similar is what I want to do once I have all the VNA tooned up, I can compose one image, featuring all of them. Oh, the possibilities... oh, so little time! Thanks again HT!

Thank you Dr. Nick and WSJ, much appreciated.
HT: oh, I wasn't meaning that you were commissioning me, I was just commenting how I tried a couple times to do comic strips under commission. I'm actually "semi-retired" from commission, for almost two years now. I'm mainly working on personal projects, and do the ocassional commission, mainly for family, without promoting it.
The quick sketches are a trial and error. Sometimes it turns out great and fast, sometimes I struggle. But that's why I like to do it, it forces me to get out of my comfort zone. It's not so much about the likeness, but to practice different angles and perspectives. That eventually helps me when it's time to render a finished image. I just finished a couple of sketches of Daisy Destin, and now I'm working on a new image for an upcoming event. The sketches actually helped me a lot to understand her face and simplify it (yes, the hardest part would be the face, not so much the body, that's just for kicks, ha).
The all-around VNA image, it will take me a while, but I have my focus on it (along with alternative projects), so I'm confident I'll get there... eventually, ha, ha.

Well, she's not officially a VNA girl, but she's part of the VNA camgirls: Daisy Destin! Next week I'll be at Wondercon, a comic convention and I wanted to do a new piece featuring a comic character (of course, in my own style). I took advantage of this to give myself a treat: 1) draw the mischievous Harley Quinn, and 2) feature the mischievous Daisy Destin as my reference. This is not my typical image, but it was certainly fun to do so (The Joker seems to be having a good time as well). Enjoy!

Thank you TheBoy, Walt and Vicky! Yep, Daisy was very impressed and very happy when she saw it. We'll see how that image does at Wondercon, hopefully good.
TheBoy: I sell prints of my artwork, including this one, up to 13x19 size, from my website. I'll always give a deal to any VNA member, so check it out whenever you have a chance (even if you don't want to buy anything, you'll have a good time browsing). Thanks again guys!

Your art truly amazes me, the fact that your imagination and your fingers seem to be directly connected. While I can sew things together, my writing is like most Doctors, no one but the pharmacy can read it, I've tried drawing, and unless it's paint by the numbers, I plain suck at it. So finding someone who has so much talent is a real treat.
Thanks again for the new drawing, and of course all your other drawings, your truly an Artist!
