Still, good luck with that. Hoping that this time all is successful.

stickyvicky wrote:So as you know my lasik was not all that successful. I'm still wearing glasses most days or contacts when I go to the gym. They said that my eye did not react in a typical way at all to the surgery. No one is really sure why. In some ways it's worse (near and medium) and in some ways better (distance), so I"m going to follow this through to the end with another surgery. This one is called an LRI and here is a youtube clip explaining what it is. It's simple and safe, and free since my Lasik wasn't successful. It will be done on Friday, Apr 3, so no camshow for me on Sunday, I probably will be fine but I'm not allowed wearing makeup till Monday that's all. I'll either do my camshow thursday or Monday instead for that week.

This is not my doctor, it's just an example I found to see what they are going to do to me.
good luck with everything Vicky

I'm sorry to hear that things didn't go 100% the first time Vicky, look at the bright side though, you won't have to learn Braille, though I'm sure Rokkerr would volinteer to be your test subject, as you feel your way around...

I'll keep my fingers crossed (and maybe my eyes too) that things heal quickly, just DON'T PUSH IT. Follow the Docs orders, and you should heal faster. And by the way that vasaline stuff you had to put in your eyes overnight probably was an antibiotic I've had to use that last time I got an eye infection. It's kinda a mess, and makes your eyes feel gummy, but it kills off the bugs you do NOT want to take hold.

Best of luck, heal quickly.

Yeah lucky me I was allergic to it, lol... it made things worse. I'm just cursed with these eyes, one is blind and the other doesn't see very well.... lol.... this is actually the 4rth surgery in total... I'm certain this will be the last one though... I feel good about it.
