Really. No helmet, either. Way too many die just because they don't like helmets. I wonder how they like their looks after their faces are scrubbed across the pavement.

I noticed in the cycle accident, that the truck driver that got hit apparently just drove off, without checking to see if anyone was hurt. Unfortunatly that's typical, it'll get you a year in jail in Alaska if you do that at a minimum. I'm just glad to see the guy up and walking, but Walt's right (as he usually is) a brain bucket would have been a whole lot better... I can't understand why people don't want to wear them, and leather to protect their fragile thin skin layer.

No, Rokkerr, post 'em. Sometimes it brings up a good discussion, I always get serious and spoil the joke, don't I?
But, yeah, I always wore my helmet and leathers whenever I rode. Helmet might come off out on the open road, but, around town? I didn't figure it was worth the chance. We just lost another here in El Paso. Guy lost control on a high-flying cross-over ramp (one fwy to another.) Sounded like he was going too fast and couldn't make the curve. No helmet and now he's not going home. Had a wife and kids. So sad.
I had numerous accidents (4 or 5.) Couple should have killed me. I figure it was my gear that saved me. Sure kept me from road rash if nothing else.
