I was at the gym the other day and the guy on the treadmill next to me kept on staring at me! I kept thinking maybe I knew him or something, it was soooo weird, really ackward cause his whole head was turned sideways towards me while he was running! Finally i just said Hi to him and then he looked away.... lol.... He was wearing so much cologne I almost gagged. The fans were blowing in my direction, and it was so strong, he must have dumped an entire bottle on himself!

I went to the gym today :smile: no I didn't workout, but it felt so good to be back there. I was called a few names for thinking of a fun exercise to do. One was glute bridges to the song Womenizer, every time she said Womenizer you do a glute bridges, when she's singing you hold the bridge up, oh I had everyone put sandbag weights on them for added comfort, between 20-100lbs. The guy I put 100lbs on had his knee replaced last fall and I put one foot on top and said "Make me dance bitch!" He's in his late 50's and has such a good attatude, except he called me a fucking bitch when he was about to collapse. I also wrote FAILURE on the board and said "None of you are, but your all gonna hit failure so you know how much you can do. I only stayed for one class, I'm sure they were glad to see me leave :mrcool:

We got some new medicine balls between 6-30lbs, some bounce and some are dead balls. We were doing triceps by pushing the ball to the floor over and over. They bounce back fast so it works your triceps and reflexes too. I told everyone keep your eyes on what your doing, then I answer a question and I miss the ball and it hits my tit! Fucking hurt, 15lbs doesn't seem like much, but it's kick ass! I only did it for about 15 seconds. The next class I'm showing them and not taking my eyes off what I'm doing. My hands were a bit to far apart and I took the ball in the head, I turned just in time so I didn't get it in the face. I still went down like I was shot, takes longer to laugh that off as I get older! I don't want to display this again today. I can safely say that I've never had 15lb balls bouncing off my face before, glad there smooth :nomorehairyballs:

lol... you crazy girl... I got mad at a guy next to me at Orange Theory last week, cause we were all at different places in our circuit and while I was doing my jumping jacks with the 10 lb medicine ball he is done with his and just throws it on floor instead of placing it under his bench like you are supposed to. Well of course it rolls right under me and I land on it and almost break my leg. I yelled at him that his mother is not here to clean up after him. The rooms are really small and we cram about 30 stations into it....

I ran 3.5 miles this morning though, I'm really happy about that. I cant wait to workout with you Julie when you come to LA!

Down here, near the freakin' equator, we don't have to push our balls to the floor. They kind of fall on their own. It's funny. I just let a ball go, and it kind of goes down all by itself. :lmao:

Well I don't know if this qualities as formal exercise or not but when Connie gets her mind set on something we are all in.

We worked today in the pouring rain disassembling the first 2' of our deck and chopping out tree roots and laying down new landscape fabric so the little bastards wont grow again.

Between the disassembly, the root chopping, the fabric laydown and the reassembly, I can barely move a muscle. Exercise 1 - My sorry body 0

I'm not sure who feels more beat up today, Connie or I :) :stiffy:

That's a great workout Mike, hope you both didn't overdue it. I've been helping Gunther's mom with her garden. She has a u-pick veggie farm and berries, saskatoons, strawberries and raspberries. I never knew how much work it is to get what she does ready. The berries take up close to 8 acres and the veggies have 12 acres. I'm here for three weeks, so I'll help her as much as she'll let me, and that's not much.

Good on you Mike & Connie, lots of ice and take care of that yard :smile:

Nothing beats fresh fruits and veggies right out of the ground. In Michigan, north of Detroit anyway, the farmers all put out roadside stands. It's always cool to go out and buy your food fresh from the ground.

I went to a friend's gym yesterday, mostly just to see their setup. The last workout she asked if I'd run a few exercises. I put on the board 10 reverse sit ups, 50 glute thrusters c/w weights, 10 straight leg sit ups, 50 more glute thrusters, 10 leg raises c/w weights, 50 more glute thrusters, then 1/2 length of bear crawls. Two times through, then her and I added more as we thought of things. One girl there is the one that screams and swears to release her energy yells at me. I don't know who the fuck you are, but I hate you! I laughed and said I loved her too and blew her a kiss. My friend Kelly says now you know why at her gym they call Julie the bitch of the north!

After we were done we talked and the girl who swore at me said how sorry she was, I told her that's what I'm like when I workout, screaming and swearing at anyone that's near me. So anyone that I workout with don't take it personal, it's my way of saying I love you :smile:

I went to my Dr today and he gave me advice that I tell people at the gym all the time but really never applied it to myself. He told me to listen to my body, cause it knows when you've had enough, then he said, I've got to slow it down, or there's nothing that anyone will be able to do. I'm going to listen, I have no choice now. My physio therapist has been telling me the same thing, so I want you to know I won't be going extreme anymore. I'll still be teaching it and making it kick ass but I can't take part.

I went to my friends gym in Leduc and she said come and teach a class, so I did, at the end people where just laying there. So I had them put their arms above their heads and relax. Just let your body become part it the mat, eyes closed. After two minutes just wiggle your toes and fingrers. Slowly come out of it, cause if you move fast you'll fall on your face. Vicky if you've never tried it before, trust me it's so relaxing. I know when I say trust me it's time to run, but this time you can. You see there is a sweet and gentle side to me :innocent:
