WHO IS PAYING THE MOST (OR LEAST) IN THE WORLD FOR GAS????
We paid a $1.57 yesterday in Memphis at a Exxon station. Wonder if we might even see at some point gas under a $1, I really doubted we'd see gas this low again.

I paid $1.58 today with my Wal-Mart Credit card, normal price $1.63, $18 something for about 11 Gallons. At this rate, I expect them to be paying me $1.63 by Christmas, lol.

I paid $1.53 yesterday at Walt-Mart. $1.58 minus my discount. Yep, pretty amazing. Something like 13-1/2 gal for $20. I wonder when the bottom will fall out and prices will shoot back thru the roof. Too bad I don't have a 50 gal drum out back where I can store a few gallons.
There has to be a bottom. I can't imagine gas under a dollar. (I used to pay $0.25/gal in 1962. Back in the "olden days," lol.)

Holy Criminey! $1.499 this morning. It sat at $1.519 for a week, and I felt that maybe we had reached the bottom. But, not so. With my WM credit card discount, that's $1.449. Haven't seen gas that cheap in years. Now it's just hard to say where it might settle out.
GasBuddy is reporting stations as low as $1.449 on the east side. And that isn't counting membership stores like Costo, which is reporting as low as $1.399. Dang, I want to drive to Albuquerque, make a left turn, and come back to El Paso, just so I can fill up on cheap gas.

Wow, that IS low in Cal especially SoCal. It's back up to the $1.55 range here but I hear it's supposed to go back down.
They went to Summer Blend so prices went up. So howcum when they go to Summer Blend prices go up? Then when they go back to Winter blend prices go up again. Then next summer? Yep! You guessed it.

It's been nice paying .67/l here as oil fell in price about $70 a barrel, but in the last few weeks oil have gone up a little and so has gas here, to 97/l! I don't get it, the price at our pump went down about 60 cents after a big drop in oil, but it goes up like $10 and we pay almost as much as we did when it was about $100. The oil companies say they would never gouge the customer, what if their not telling the truth. If we can't believe the oil companies, then all we can believe is the politicians cause they would never bullshit us

...and that blend change thing applies to both seasons. It goes up in the winter when they change to winter blend, but it also goes up in the summer when they go to summer blend. But they're not in collusion, they're not ripping us off. You can believe that. They said so.
Where you at, wsj? NorCal, huh? It's up to the $1.75 range here. California really soaks you folks on the taxes, don't they?

Sure tell it's a long weekend here, gas went up 12 cents/l, so it's $1.14.9/l here. I'm sure glad I needed over 90l, I really didn't want that $110 cause I know the oil companies need it so badly

Chances are I've not worked this out correctly but I reckon today I paid just under $6 a gallon. I know we are heavily taxed for fuel in the UK but this seems really high compared to you guys.
Keep in mind I'm converting from litres to us gallons (not our imperial gallon) and then from sterling to dollars - there's a lot there for my little brain to get wrong. I still reckon it would be cheaper to fly one of these in the US.
We're getting screwed aren't we? (And not in a good way!)

Gas is something that changes here pretty much on a daily bases. Our neighbourhood gas station is sitting at .90 a litre. Costco is alway cheaper then everywhere else coming in at .87 a litre. This past weekend I was out in Victoria B.C. and gas was 1.21 a litre. That is the cost to live on a island.

Hey guys - you don't have anything to complain about - here supermarket prices are £1.10 per litreConnie wrote:Gas is something that changes here pretty much on a daily bases. So 1 litre = 0.22 galls and £1 = $1.29
so 1 litre costs $1.42 and a gallon costs $6.45

I commented once about collusion in the fuel industry, which they vehemently deny, because gas prices all go up at the same time. Then, they go back down slowly and separately.
Used to be, a station raised or lowered their prices based on the price of the fuel that was just delivered. Now, all the stations in the city pretty much all go up at once, usually by the same amount.
I've been watching the prices here in El Paso, http://www.gasbuddy.com/GasPriceMap?z=4 ... =38.822395 as I expected them to go up due to the hurricane. Last night, just about every station in the city went up by $0.30/gal. Now, I guarantee you that every freaking station in the city did not get a fuel delivery last night.
But, nope, there's no collusion or price gouging going on.
