I've been reading about this quite often over the past few months. If the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Cal/OSHA have their way, performers will be wearing more than just condoms. Picture hardhats, goggles, neon reflective vests, and floaty wings.

I'm sure that Las Vegas doesn't mind reaping the benefits of their new found film industry. Who better to take up the slack than the most adult city in the Western Hemisphere?

I'm sad for Los Angeles though...26 permits in an entire year. That used to be a slow week in LA. So many jobs lost for nothing.

Some new developments regarding the Measure B ordinance and California Code of Regulations Title 8 § 5193, James Deen fires a shot at Bellator MMA and parent company Viacom, bringing more mainstream attention to the issue.

Regardless of my personal opinion of Deen, I think his criticisms, particularly regarding the Aids Healthcare Foundation, are completely valid.

As I read more and more about this topic, I find it interesting that no one has done an economic impact study on what would happen if the studios and talent left the state. The loss alone in income taxes as well as the standard of living costs would be I think in the 100's of millions of dollars.

I think that most politicians would not even consider the economic impact of lost jobs and tax revenue. I'm betting most of them would consider it to be dirty money.
