Don't know how many wannabe promoters, we had to deal with when I wrestled. Some were out to literally screw people out of money but there were some who had good intentions but got in over their head.

Well, starting new shows can sometimes have growing pains but this one seems to have gotten off on the wrong foot. It sounds like there was some positive feedback from a few people but it looks like a lot of people didn't have the same experience and were promised more than than the promotor could handle.

They did just about everything wrong...
1. Don't have a convention in Texas... their location was moved three times due to backlash... if you ARE going to do a convention, make damn sure the community is ok with it first
2. Promote heavily on social media... I barely heard about it ...
3. Treat your talent well... it only takes a couple of girls to be pissed off and talent won't return the next year.
