Again, really?? That would be a double shift for Leno if that was true, because he was one of the legislators who cast the deciding votes in killing Isadore Hall's original legislation installing the condom mandate in 2015. It was that defeat that drove Weinstein to introduce Prop 60 in the first place. BTW, Leno isn't seeking relection this cycle; and Hall is now running for Janice Hahn's US Congressional seat, having been term-limited out of his Cali Assembly seat.

yes, George (thanks for the reference), Leno is now against the measure and will soon be a democratic "has been" or "never was". I am well aware of the enormous well spring against this measure but do not underestimate the revenue being used by the AHF and Weinstein to promote it. Most ppl are aware that Weinstein is a well funded democrat leveraging the suffering of others to advance a democratic political agenda (much like Gavin Newsom). They should both roast in hell and, if there is any justice, Leno will be doing just that in the not too distant future along with the likes of Feinstein and Boxer (sorry, couldn't resist). And, plenty of Democrats (even the evil liberal ones) are opposed to this initiative. Try to tone down the boiler plate for at least a minute, please, and focus on the initiative itself.

For example Anthony and I almost never agree on Politics, we come from different ideological points of views on most subjects, but we always keep civil and actually we really want the same things, we both belief in individual rights , the ability for people to live there life as they choose , and the VNA :) so let’s keep the discussion open and honest but with respect. Porn people are broke. The world does not realize what Pornhub and others have done to us. Most porners live hand to mouth, never knowing if they can even pay rent on the first of each month. Since Brazzers/MindGeek/Pornhub have more money than GOD (since they put almost everyone else out of business) why don't they put some money in for billboards etc?

They're not, at the start, going to sue someone they Know has no assets!!!! You know this! Brazzers and the tube sites will be the first targets. They are just suits who make a fortune by stealing from everyone else. They don't care if their real names are published. Secondly, they will not be sued because they shoot in Miami and Vegas, not LA. Third, it only helps them if all the LA talent is destitute and desperate, that way they are more pliable and will give in to anything they want. They are probably rooting for the law to pass so they get the spoils...

I know it's concentrated in LA, but as many have said, it is the template for which other states will base their own "anti-porn" statutes. This is not entirely accurate - this is not anti porn nor is it a health issue. These are just the facades used to get dollars and power. This is the REAL motivation for all this proposed legislation. The authors couldn't give one damn about the health of the performers or they would work with them on testing, etc. which has been so successful. As many have said, this is nakedly a power/political move using AIDS and the sex industry as pawns.
You make excellent points re why this movement may help the so-called big boys. I would go further and stipulate that the business will move overseas. Russian porn is now, from my point of view, becoming excellent and not nearly as "cookie cutter" nor "mechanical" as we have discussed under a different topic. Good luck Vick, my money is on the girls trying to make it in the US and on entrepreneurs like you (how in the hell can you be a democrat and have your own business???, jk). I fear, though, that all of us are about to lose. If the ballot information pamphlet had contained a list of ALL the organizations opposed I would have been more optimistic, but it does and did not.
