OVERHAUL OF OUR BELOVED BOARD?.... Thoughts... Ideas...

.... I am changing my mind about deleting girls forums all together. They are of use to any member or fan who cares to read there, even if the girl isn't there I guess.

Maybe one major forum at the start just for all things VNA and then the girls? I also think the tech forum is buried and could perhaps just be one sticky thread for help when people need things.

Let's think on it guys... a lot of the VNA Live girls have been asking for access for themselves and their members. Girls like Rebekah Dee who insist that they will be regular posters. I dig that idea, don't you? The goal is more interaction between you guys and the girls. Maybe that's all we need to do is add a VNA Live Forum?

So it would look like this: 3 main forums

I have some thoughts about this topic

The current layout of the Board I assume was developed years ago when there was only a few VNA Girls here with Vicky. When I joined back in 2008 there were 3 Girls (Vicky, Sasha, Nina) so the Board was far easier to navigate. I'm not on here as much as other members so I usually have to search around to find the right threads to post into

Vicky's suggestion sounds good as the Board should be a place for everyone to interact including VNA Members, VNA Girls & VNA Live Girls as that is what the VNA is about! Some Girls such as Shanda, Charlee, Siri & Trisha are regular posters so deserve their own Forum Some other Girls don't post much so maybe their Forums should be merged into the Mosh Pit! I'm sure Vicky & Rokkerr will make the right call about the future layout of the Board

PS. If you look at how many old threads on the Board (not the recent ones) that have fewer than 10 posts in them it seems that there are alot of unnecessary threads that could be consolidated into existing larger threads as well

I remember Vicky bringing this up again in the last 5 minutes of her Dec 18 camshow, so thought I'd bump this thread.

As for VNA Girls, the Norwegian sexbomb herself visits this place almost daily with Charlee, Carmen, Maggie, Jelena and Lauren dropping by occasionally, but the board as it is now has a LOT of unused forums which have basically turned into graveyards. What's everyone's thoughts regarding this? What would be required in your opinion for more members and other girls to start posting? Would it be better to just remove the forums of Nikki, Cleo, Sunny, Deauxma, etc? If you disagree, what's the point of keeping them? Surely, an "Official Deauxma Thread", for example, would be sufficient and pretty much cover anything Deauxma related?

I have no problem with restructuring things. Honestly, it's Vicky's house, she can set up any way she likes.

I have no idea how to increase participation. Message boards have always been fun for me, and I've met a whole bunch of awesome people through different message boards. But they're not for everyone. Some people just don't like them and for others, the place message boards used to have in their free time is now subsumed by Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

I've only recently started posting again...I used to post about 20 times a day. XD If I see a topic that gets my interest, if it's fun or something that I can discuss, I jump right in.
If the girls don't use their forums and they haven't logged in since like last year yet they've been posting content, maybe just give them a shout and ask them maybe...or maybe just go through and see if there are topics just cluttering up a girl's section and get rid of them. I doubt you'll sit there and delete 1619 topics in a row cause I can understand how annoying that is.

Or you can always keep certain girls threads or whatever and just make categories and stuff like Photo Thread, Upcoming Shoots. I dunno. Maybe stuff like that but I guess that would make more work and effort to do stuff like that.
And posts and threads from how many years back probably aren't necessary to keep either but it's not my place to judge that.

I get you, GJ. But I don't see that working. Or maybe I see it being very confusing. Having one thread? Where any and all thoughts get jumbled in? I don't like that at all. Take this thread. If you take all the posts that Vicky's forum has in all the topics, can you imagine trying to find something in all that?

So the models don't comment? How do you decide if a models forum is dead? If she hasn't posted in 6 months? In a year? Why change it all around? Is it broken? Are we running out of space? I'll agree that it's a problem that a member comes here and posts a question in Nikki Benz' forum, because I know he'll never get an answer. But that's the models problem. She might even lose a paying member because she doesn't come here and take care of her members. But, that's her problem, not the boards.

I personally like it just the way it is. If I want to make a comment to a particular model, I know just where to go. And I can find the subject I want very easily. Take Drew's thread, for example. Would you want his posts all jumbled in with the sex, the can shows, Vicky's travels? How about her help topics? When she asks us to help with something? Just jumble that all together into one big mess? Personally, I like it that there are separate threads for whatever subject.

My attitude has always been "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I have seen way too many times people (websites) decide to make the whole thing over, and it's just no good. Everything gets moved around, so nobody can find anything. If you're going to change something around because you have a new system, or new software, that's plausible. But to change something around just to be changing something around? No!

My vote, Vicky? Leave it alone. It's working just fine the way it is.

To me, if you're doing that, you're ending up with the same thing, except you're just giving it a different name. Except you have jumbled all of the posts into one big mess. You end up with Deauxma's thread - then all the posts in all her threads all in one humongous thread. I don't see that working at all.

And posts and threads from how many years back probably aren't necessary to keep either but it's not my place to judge that.

On occasion I will either go back looking for something, or I will go back and read something I like, like Julie's two threads. Really funny stuff. I would really hate to lose all that. There's lots of great history here. Let's not destroy that.

i understand Walt's take and in many ways he's likely right but i think many of members are like me wishing the VNA Girls where her more often

I think some of the problem is a lot of the girls get so busy with things that they don't have time to post. I would say maybe ask if the girls want their thread still on here but then they might say oh I start posting more and we'd be back to square one. How about a section or thread for VNA Live girls, trying to think of how to make not a big smash up though like Walt was mentioning.

I do think that it would be nice if more of the girls did use their subforums more often, but we can very easily see who is on and most interactive here. Also, shifting and moving forums around can cause real problems if a person does decide to become more involved, but can't find her slot in the forum.

One of the reasons why I used to give all the girls moderator powers for their forum when I was a more active mod was exactly to encourage them to engage more often.

Maybe there simply needs to be a subforum for general topics seperated from the specific girls' subforums for topics that can apply to everyone? I know that Vicky's own subforum has been the default for that, but perhaps a seperate subforum should be established that everyone can respond to?

Or...perhaps those subforums who have been more active should be moved up to the top of the listings so that they can be more accessible? Perhaps that might serve as a gentle reminder for the "slackers" to get more active here?

The homepage shows the amount of topics per subforum. Deauxma has been here a long time yet her forum only exists of 3 pages and the majority of topics only contain a couple posts. So, if you'd merge the vast majority of that into "The Official Deauxma Thread", it would be anything but humongous. In fact, it would be a relatively small thread. Having said that, though, perhaps it's indeed too extreme to just create official threads for each girl given how much you guys seem against the idea. I'm just throwing up questions and options, lol.

I think it's more a case of change in order to try and make the board more accessible and user friendly. Had Vicky not installed this new mobile friendly theme a year ago, we would still have the old layout which in hindsight definitely needed the upgrade. Had she not taken the big step of creating a new camroom, we would still be left with the old one in which we had to refresh 43 times per hour. Sometimes change can be a good thing, cause if you are standing still, you are also moving backwards.
