That's awesome your liking the boxing Vicky, keep with it, it's a great full body workout and exhalent cardio.
I can see that Julie - with apologies for that, and also for the levity of my posts. I guess I'm a little bit jealous of you fit and toned people!

You don't have to say sorry for what you post, trust me I've been in hot water many times before with things I've said. I know that's hard to believe, since I'm so angelic! :innocent: :engel23:

Just saying if anyone goes to a gym with a camera (and we all have them now) you have to use your head about the pictures you take. Even our sexy Tuesday classes, no cameras, thankfully. Take pictures of people your working out with, or selfies, no problem, but just some random hottie, don't get caught. Lots have bf's the size of a house and will put that camera where you don't want pictures :help:

Sounds fair enough to me Julie -sorry it was from Google images. If you got me into a gym, I'd be struggling so hard to breathe that I wouldn't be able to take pics!

If only ALL trainers employed this way of working out... you'd have tons of people in the gym...

I've never drunk a ton of sody pop, but pretty much stopped a long time ago. Will still have one on occasion, usually but not always, a diet pop. Maybe Root Beer for a Root Bear float (soooooo good, lol.) Sometimes a Dr. Pepper.
I can resist everything except temptation.

Julie you ever have anyone come through the gym doing the Keto diet? I've been messing with it for about a week now with some success, trying to find good snack recipes.

My understanding is that they are similar but more emphasis on restricting carbs with keto while Atkins allows more leniency with carbs after a while.

60%calories from fat/35%protein/5% carbs

I've always been a bit of a sweet tooth (and I love bagels) and while I used to be extremely active, in recent years I haven't really kept up my activity levels to balance it out. So I'm avoiding grains, starches and candy in preference to foods like avacado, macadamia nuts, almonds, bacon, eggs, coffee with heavy cream (no sugar), leafy greens etc.

Sounds too strict. do it for a while to get where you want to be, then be more lenient. I believe your body needs some carbs for energy! We should all be more carb conscious, besides that is where all the chemicals and preservatives are. We like the paleo diet, it's probably the healthiest of all the diets out there. Not all carbs are created equal. There are good carbs, like sweet potatoes, and bad carbs like candy or white bread. It depends on how the body processes those carbs, are they high glycemic or low glycemic. The paleo diet is all natural. Lots of root vegetables.... delicious and fun too! Just look at puma! That's what she does (we do it but cheat a lot with chocolate and cheesecake and pasta, lol... )

And that's without any kind of regimented exercise, Walt. A few house projects, but nothing more strenuous than an afternoon swinging a hammer at some roofing shingles. And I get to eat as much bacon as I want.

So what's wrong with 12 ounce curls? They get me in great shape.
