The following statement was released literally just a few minutes ago....

The Free Speech Coalition is asking that all producers extend the current production hold through Monday until all tests for possibly affected performers are conclusive. Diane Duke, head of the Free Speech Coalition: "We understand that production delays are difficult for performers as well as producers. However, as always, for the safety and intergrity of the performer pool, we need to err on the side of caution. We will continue to work with producers, performers and the health department to investigate, and determine when production can safely continue".

So they are not going to tell who is it that turned up positive? If I was a performer in LA I would want to know. I would not trust the FSC to thoroughly check out every relation the person had. What if i fucked that person at a swing club and it wasn't for any movie production? Not everyone tells the truth. When we sign up to the industry and we fill out paperwork we sign that if we have HIV the regular privacy rules do not apply. Anyone in the adult industry is allowed to know.

UPDATE: The moratorium has now been lifted by FSCPASS:

It turns out that the incident was about a performer within the PASS database having off-the-set contact with a performer outside the PASS database who ultimately did contract HIV. The incident was not in California or Florida (possibly Vegas), and it was the health authorities in that state that had informed FSCPASS of the possible breach, triggering the moratorium as a precautionary step while all the relevant possible contacts were tested.

Everyone within that performer sub-pool has now been tested and found to be clean.

There has been the usual bickering from some performers about the steathiness of the moratorium, but I'd prefer this to having livelihoods interrupted for 2 weeks rather than 3 days.

First off, Vicky...HIPPA and state HIV antidiscrimination laws, combined with health protocols, explicitly forbid anyone revealing publically the names of potentially HIV-infected people. Also, there's the real possibility of lawsuits if they get names wrong...AIM (the original predecessor to FSCPASS) was driven out of business precisely due to such lawsuits.

Secondly....this was launched by an investigation by a public health care official notifying FSCPASS of a possible off-set contact, by a performer who wasn't using the PASS protocols (probably because (s)he was out of the business).

Third....it's been confirmed that this took place outside of California.

Basically, it's the responsibility of the performer (and any sexually active person, whether they be in porn or not) to take the precautions to protect themselves, whether through regular testing or condoms.

I still wonder myself whether this was just a false flag attempt by AIDS Healthcare to deliberately infect the performer pool with a paid outsider, in order to scare performers into supporting their condom mandate...but, that's only my conspiracy theory.

I still find it very scary. So we are depending solely on the performer to list the names of anyone and everyone he had contact with. People have sex outside of work, and a lot of them escort too. What if he/she (not this case, but just in general when a performer is HIV+) forgets someone or even intentionally leaves someone out? How can we be so trusting? To me that's a huge security gap.

I know when I sign the paperwork every single time I test, I specifically give permission that all my test results may be released to anyone in the adult industry. I just did it a week ago and that's what i signed.... Just sayin....

Yeah, I have a meeting on Thursday that I need to go to which was the primary purpose of the trip. So I am still going but may cut the trip short. The director from one of my shoots told me that if it's a false positive, it ends on Wednesday. If not, then it will last at least another 5-7 days which would mean my shoots would be cancelled.

I have awful luck when it comes to moratoriums.

Score flew me to Miami for 4 days of shooting b/g for my first scenes and I was literally on set when the Mr. Marcus thing happened. They put me right on a plane back home.

Then, I was on set in LA ready to shoot when the Cameron Bay incident happened. I had come to LA for the week and had pre paid for a hotel on Hotwire, same as my rental car. All my shoots were cancelled and I ended up losing close to $2,000 on that trip.

I had a trip planned when another moratorium happened, might have been the TJ Cummings one. Luckily I had booked my flight on miles so I got them all back and didn't lose any money on that one.

I decided not to go to LA for awhile and focus on camming and my site and stuff.

I also like the fact that FSC is offering testing for everyone who had contact with the performer going back two months, even with the negative tests prior to this latest one.

Imagine if Weinstein's condom mandate was the law, and there was no FSCPASS protocols to prevent this performer from shooting.

Yeah, I'd say that the system did its job perfectly; and even with 2 working days of production halted, it was more than worth it.

Props to Eric Paul Leue for his leadership and willingness to stick his....neck out for performer safety.
