Well I love John Oliver, but unfortunately us Canadians have a difficult time picking up certain youtube or streams from other countries. This one I can't see but will try to find it from another source.

Why is that? Does youtube block countries? Why would they do that? Someone from the UK said it waz blocked there too?

Yea, there are certain content or infringement laws that are protected in certain geographical locations. For instance, I can't check out video clips from CBS or NBC (they are blocked)because we have competing Canadian TV stations that carry the same content. HBO is another example where there is a HBO Canada and an American HBO.

We can't watch the Super Bowl from an American station unless it's commercial content is altered to Canadian advertisers...no cool Super Bowl commercials for us in Canada.

Amazon has a Canadian and American website...I can only order stuff from Amazon Canada (and it sucks) unless I have an American address or a post office box.

Yeah, I have to use VPN's to get around these restrictions to catch professional cycling and world cup skiing highlights. NBC Sports has the distribution rights in the USA, so I need to hop on the VPN to watch Eurosport or SBS or the like.

Back on topic, I don't see Trump's angle here, it appears to me that he gained nothing but more bad press in the process by showing his cards and opting out so publicly. He could have very well stayed the course and intentionally failed to upkeep the USA's obligations. Instead he pulls this stunt.



And regarding climate change, I've seen coral bleaching up close and personal when I lived in Australia - whatever is coming our way doesn't care about who you voted for.

I have never watched John Oliver before, he is pretty good! Nothing Trump does surprises me. The thing I can't figure out is how he gets away with what he does. He talks about the U.S. footing the bill, I don't know if that is true or not but sometimes there needs to be some support in order to get things done. The funny thing is that his supporters still say he can do no wrong! Where is congress? Maybe they are gathering up evidence for impeachment!
