Concerts & Other Live Shows We're Attended!
Not sure if this topic has already been posted here but I thought it be cool to start (restart) it anyway!
Im sure a few of us have had the concert experience at least once in our lives, I for one have been to some myself either at large venues or local places. Before joining the VNA (Shanda Fay's Saturday Night Shows Lol)! I use to go to a neighborhood local bar on Saturday nights (band night) & check out the local bands (Rock being my favorite). Sadly they place has been closed down (not do to anything serious) but I had wonderful experiences there & even made some really cool friends to this day I still keep in touch with. Its for sure cheaper then the larger venues but still I great time. Now as for big shows its always an experience (if you know what I mean, lol)! I remember my first concert I think either in middle school or grade school it was mom, grandmother & myself....Does The Song "YMCA" Ring A Bell!? This Friday I'll be at the Hyper Space Tour: Boston With My All Time Favorite Who've Ive Been Waiting To See For A Looooong Time.............Joan Jett & The Blackhearts!!
Here's A List Of Shows Ive Been To, Feel Free To Share Yours!
The Village People (I Was Just A Kid Man, Lol)!
No Doubt (They're Tour In 2009)
Paramore (They Were Ok) Pretty Much Some New Age Punk Rock Band Shit
50 Cent, Missy Elliot & Jay -Z Rock The Mic Tour (So Much Weed)!
The Led Zeppelin Experience with Heart (My Favorite Show)
Korn (Mayhem Festival)
Avenged Sevenfold (Partial Show Due To A Storm)
Taylor Swift (My 1st Pop Concert, 56,000 Sold Out Show Took My Best Friend)
The 1975 (They're From Manchester England)
Pending: Boston With Joan Jett & The Blackhearts
Someday Id Love To See Judas Priest, ACDC & Billy Idol
Rock On!!!

Wow...what a great topic for the forum. I don't know if this has been explored in the past either but what a fun subject.
I'm sure that I'll miss a couple along the way, and I'll come back to it later, but off the top of my head:
ABBA (I bet not many people have that one on their list) -1978 I think
Huey Lewis and the News -1985 I think
Stevie Wonder -20 years ago
Whitney Houston -almost as long ago
The Dixie Chicks -not long ago
Neil Diamond - twice
System of a Down (not my choice..I was an usher)
Elton John -when he could still sing...amazing show
Mariah Carey and Buster Rymes ( I was an usher...amazing show)
Kenny Chesney -2013
Carrie Underwood -2014
Celine Dion - saw her in Vegas
George Strait- few years back
Garth Brooks - Connie saw him
Randy Travis- just before went bananas and went streaking- casino showroom
The Proclaimers- 2014 at a casino showroom
INXS (new lead singer...good show)
We don't go to as many shows as we used to...I think time kicks us in the azz and sometimes we do different stuff too (like karaoke), but if a big show comes along we might just go ...ya never know
If Billy Idol ever comes to Pittsburgh I'm coming to town Free !!!

Kicking Ass and Taking Names :)
Not many musical acts to list, but over the past year I've been going to comedy shows and seen some of the best names in comedy. Live comedy is far superior to watching on Netflix or Comedy Central, would highly recommend if you haven't seen a live show before.
Bob Marley
Jim Norton
Bill Burr
Tom Segura
Doug Stanhope
Still need to see Dave Atell, Dave Chapelle and a few others to round out my bucket list.

Best concert ever - and I do mean ever - The Stones in Cardiff - amazing!!!
Great live band in small venues - Hayseed Dixie - if you like classic rock (Queen, AC/DC, Sabbath, Zeppelin etc) with twist (Banjos and Bluegrass) go see 'em - also see Youtube!
Mentions for
Alice Cooper - still got it and gets killed x3 per show.
Blue Oyster Cult - great in small venues.
Walter Trout - if you like Blues you'll love him - complete with new liver!
The Who - or what's left of them - you gotta see Townsend windmill before you die!

I have the opportunity to work security at our local arena. I have seen roughly 400 shows over the last 20 years from Kiss, Aerosmith, AC/DC and every thing in between. Some I just as soon forget but ones like Elton John and Fleetwood Mac were amazing. I also had the opportunity on several occasion to provide personal protection to some of the performers. All of them were down to earth and very nice to be around.
On the top of my head:
Iron Maiden 1991
Anthrax 1991 Opening for Iron Maiden
Ozzy Osbourne
Fear Factory opening for Ozzy
Def Leppard
Van Morrisson
Deep Purple
U2
Motorhead
WASP
Robert Plant/Alison Krauss Rising Sand Tour 2007/2008
Martina McBride London 2007/2008
Brad Paisley 2 times
The Band Perry opening for Brad Paisley
Chris Young opening for Brad Paisley
Steve Earle 3 or 4 times
Allison Moorer opening for one Steve Earle show
Udo Dirkschneider 2 times in 2016
Most of the concert I have been to I don`t remember when it was and I think there are some bands I don`t remember....lol

Awesome! That would have been about the same year I went to see the Doobie Brothers.CGYMike wrote:ABBA (I bet not many people have that one on their list) -1978 I think
Wednesday I drove to Virginia and went to see Regina Spektor and Ben Folds with friends.
Three years ago I had a second row seat to see Yes (a few months before Chris Squire passed away).
I think it was the year before that, that I saw Rob Thomas.
Way back when I was married we saw my ex's favorite act, Peter, Paul and Mary a bunch of times.

Hard to believe Debbie Harry of Blondie is now 72... I just to jerk off to her iconic poster as a youngster...

I would LOVE to see the Foo Fighters up close...
... and of course Status Quo who no one in the states really knows.
Saddened to hear of the guitar players death earlier this year. End of an era...

I would be a bad Canadian if I didn't add Shania Twain to our list. I surprised Connie with the concert when additional tickets opened up for the show and we got seats very close to the stage. mmmmmm Shania
Kicking Ass and Taking Names :)
How did I forget to put on Shania, a totally Canadian icon, another Canadian band I saw was Street Heart, unfortunately Kenny Shields passed away in the last week or so. Their live version of Under My Thumb is awesome. See I like some rock music, just heavy metal blows, in my opinion, and mines the only one that counts
