Flash Issues

Yeah...I'm getting the blank screens with the broken internal links, too.

I have the Speed Dial 2 app within Google Chrome which stores my bookmarks as screen shots; and I have a specific section for VNA sites. Naturally, since GC no longer accepts Flash and essentially deliberately broke their Flash plugin to push people towards HTML5, the links to the original archives no longer work for me, either. (The updated Archives 2 page with the latest camshow vids works perfectly fine.)

Typical...they break what isn't broken in the first place, but do nothing about things that are really broken.

Well, looky here...I got the Archives 1 page to work.
Here's the abridged version of what happened:

My original bookmark was still set to vettenationlive.com. I was getting a 504 Error page.

I went in and adjusted the URL by changing "vettenationlive.com" to "vnalive.com".

That got me to the correct page, but all the links and splash pics were broken.

Then, I got an idea. I stripped everything out of the URL beyond "content.php" and went to this addy:

https://www.vnalive.com/members/content.php

That got me to a working splash page with only the default template.

Clicking on the "Archives 1 - FLV" link on the top header got me to the proper Archives 1 page, with everything in place and working perfect.

I only have to change the bookmark on my Speed Dial, and I'm gone back to good.

This is the correct and proper URL to reach the working Archives 1 page:

I have some of the better archives downloaded and stored on my hard drive for easy access, but I do go back in on occasion to catch an old show just to see a model I may have missed.

I was just reading that Adobe announced it is going to discontinue support of Flash by 2020. Hope that wont cause you too much trouble.

No we will all be glad when its gone! Except all the html5 programmers will hold everyone hostage in the beginning and charge ridiculous rates for shoddy error prone work because we have no choice and everyone is in panic mode over it. the systems that are available right now for html 5 cam systems have to be leased, and you pay per minute of usage per login. We could not afford it even for a week. Everything i have investigated so far as a replacement is full of holes, doesn't do what we need and is outrageously expensive. They are phasing out flash, forcing it out, even before there is anything to replace it with.

So chrome stopped working for streaming last week, took me forever to figure out why, I had to scour the internet on adobe forums, google forums, chrome forums etc.... it was so strange, flash was enabled and everything else was working, except where the video should be it was blank. In the flash settings, it couldn't see any mic or camera. There was no error message and no indication that anything was wrong. At first it makes you think of outdated drivers or permissions issues with the webcams, but I knew it couldn't be that because it started happening to everyone at the same time. Anyway, I found out that Chrome just disabled webcam streaming on any website that was http not https. Nice of them to tell us! So i had my programmer do a rush job and now www.vettenationlive.com is https, so all is back to normal! Always something!

Well, I wasn't having those problems, but was having others. Before the model came on, when people were just chatting, the room was just fine. Once the model would fire up, it would get very slow and jerky. If I would switch to IE, it would work fine. I'll try it all again when I get home.

Kudos to you for fingering all that out. And thanks for all the hard work.

This entire thing with Flash & Chrome is annoying. I logged in the cam room via Chrome Tuesday night, the stream seemed fine then it started to act up (mind you it doesnt act up on my phone) so I went back ton IE & I had no other problems. I'll try Chrome again later today to see if there's any improvements, I even went under my setting in the browser like instructed. Im just worried if I use too many browsers that I'll be locked out the network....better safe then sorry right?

Switching browsers doesnt change anything, your ip address stays the same.....
