Awesome Mike but next time try watching the eclipse while doing a tightrope walk....

Amazing pic shot by a national geographic photographer who was strung by a harness off the cliff to take this pic of a stunt walker :help:

That picture looks like a photoshop to me. The walker just doesn't look right. For one thing, the light reflecting from him is much too bright to be taken during an eclipse. For another thing, it is coming from in front of him, while the (very dim) eclipsed sun is behind him. Granted, they could have an extremely bright, narrowly focused spotlight on him, but, to me, it looks fake.

(Later) OK, after enlarging it a lot, I can see it differently. I couldn't see a safety cable until I enlarged it a lot. When enlarged, he looks much closer to the cliff. And there's a guy sitting on the cliff at the end of the cable. And you can see the bright light coming from behind him.

But, the ground still looks wrong. The face of the cliff and the surrounding background seem much too bright to be during the total eclipse. Also, the guy is casting a shadow. If you follow the line of the shadow, the angle doesn't go from the shadow to the guy to the sun. Also, if that's during the total eclipse, where is the shadow coming from? There certainly wouldn't be enough light to cast that kind of shadow, especially that far. I still call fake :help: :rotffl:

I know. I'm a fucking killjoy, :rotffl:

High and dry and sunny out West, here, Sugerdaddy. I'm about 600 miles from the storm. (Texas is a big place, lol. About as wide as New South Wales.) But, thanks for the thoughts.
