Yes we talk about it.. it's soooo expensive to get all that equipment though! It's a huge investment and it's always changing.... as soon as you buy something, it's outdated and something different/better comes out.... do you think it's worth it? Are the members going to want to watch porn or camshows wearing some device on their head? doesn't it seem like a lot of trouble to you?

The first batch of decent ''pro-sumer'' VR video cameras are FINALLY starting to come out...
The Nikon 360 is hitting stores imminently...

Of course we are going to give it a try...
Stay tuned...

Logistically I don't know why everyone thinks porn in VR is super hot since in theory the action is all in front of you....
VR is conceptually great for games and scenic overviews...

BUT... I imagine by years end there will be SOMETHING here for you to try in the VR field.. .

We had to buy all new equipment when filming changed from SD to HD. Then we had to sell all that and buy everything all over again in 4K. It was even more expensive! I'm not sure it's worth us buying a lot of equipment to produce something that website members who don't have the headgear at home can't watch. I can barely keep up with filming as it is. I dont think more people will join my site if I have it.

What do you guys think of VR camshows though? Has anyone ever tried that? Are there any VR camsites out there that you know of? Seems to me that might be more worthwhile? Since it can be so personal? The model can really "interact" with you so much more!

I know Cam4 offers it but I haven't used it myself since I don't have the hardware.

Just curious about it... what do you have to buy exactly as a consumer in order to watch a private camshow in vr? And is it a lot more per minute than a normal camshow? and if you don't have the gear, can you watch it in normal mode? do they still do group shows? or just totally private? Very interesting!

Hardware wise, when I priced it out last year I was looking at the more expensive gaming headsets, Occulus Rift ($499), PlaystationVR ($399 plus whatever a Playstation costs) and HTC Vive ($799). Along with those costs, you need some serious computing horsepower to render VR. I think I was looking at another $300 for a capable video card and I've got a pretty beefy custom gaming desktop to start with. Can't squeak by on an old dusty laptop.

I think the most popular method of viewing VR content will continue to be people using their mobile devices with products like Google Cardboard, Samsung Gear, etc. These devices don't offer the same resolution or immersive quality as the serious headsets, but considering people already have sunk a bulk of the expense into their phones already, I'm sure it will remain the most popular method.

Dunno about the cost per show, never looked into it, however I wouldn't be surprised if they charged more.
