East Coast Ski Weekend?

I know it's the beginning of the summer, but I am wondering if there's any interest in planning a members ski weekend somewhere on the east coast?

Maybe we could even get Vicky back on the snow!

If there's interest - please reply. Ideally I'll create a poll with a few potential locations and see what we can make happen!

I like skiing, I didn't know they had mountains on the east coast. I only got out a few times this year. Not sure if I can make it, but I'll save up.

January - March are the best. Would New Hampshire be a possibility for everyone?

Love New Hampshire! It has some drop dead gorgeous scenery! Some parts of it remind me of Norway! And did you know that New Hampshire is one of the only states in the USA where you are legally allowed to shoot porn? LOL...

No we can take care of our own accommodation. But a ski lesson for us all would rock!

Golfer, Start a new topic and you will see the Poll creation tab down toward the bottom of the page. Title it something like "Interested in a ski weekend?", set your parameters, and submit it like any other post.

Enter your comment in the text box. Something like "Are you interested in a ski weekend in Vermont early next year?" Then, the poll could ask questions like, "Yes, I am interested." "No, I don't ski" "Would love to go, but don't ski." "I could go and just hang out in the bar." Whatever. Use your imagination. You could make it as simple or complicated as you wish: "Yes, I"m interested," "No, I'm not interested." Your choice how to format it. Right now you're just trying to gauge interest. It seems too early to be making specific plans.

Later in the year (November?) you could maybe select several resorts and make another poll listing those resorts for people to select from. Once you know who might come, and where they might like, ask for date suggestions. Once you have an idea of when, pick a weekend and announce it. Double check with Vicky first, as she stays quite busy. So be sure she can make your selected weekend. When we got together, there was only one other couple and TrailerParkTim that showed up, so expect a small group.

Once you've made your poll, select "Preview" at the bottom to see how it looks. Once you're happy with it, click "Submit" and you're done.

I would leave it open where people might stay. The resorts I looked at were quite expensive. I, for example, would opt to stay in the local town and just drive up for the day's/evening's activities. (I won't be attending this one. Finances would be a problem.) But, the point, more so than where people stay, would be just getting together and having fun for a couple days.
