I'm not sure it's responsible to continue going to a grungy place like a gym. Even if I'm 30 and in relatively good health, I risk catching the virus and spreading it to someone with a compromised immune system.

I am really pretty sure no.. we just got note that OrangeTheory is closing. Gyms are some of the most dirty places when you think about it... go for a run perhaps instead...

Plus, many of the people who go to the gym often are the type who might think they are strong enough to ignore any symptoms they might have and not self-isolate. I think you are smart to be concerned about the other people you come in contact with. Don't go. Work out at home.

Went to gym yesterday morning. Then found out shortly after I got home from gym that as of 9 am yesterday they were closing indefinitely due to statewide ban. This morning I went to an old morning walk routine out at an upscale golf course I used to work at. It was 28º....a bit cooler than the gym...

Orange Theory. I tried one of their sessions - did not like it. I guess its just as well that I did not make a long-term commitment.

Just as a point of Interest, you can't get it from sweat. But you can definitely get it from someone coughing on the equipment, or coughing into their hand and then their hands holding the equipment and the weights, so yeah it's definitely a high-risk place. It's a moot point now because I think every gym in the country is probably closed?

There are so many exercises you can do at home with no equipment just using your own body weight, plus you can go for a run.

Gyms close here in Memphis and Shelby County. Not sure where you live Newbie, but they may already be shut down so you may not have the option anymore
