The 'eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day' thing is an urban myth. I drink when I am thirsty and don't force extra hydration.

It's like sleeping, Davest. "When my body's tired, I go to bed. When my body's rested, I wake up." If it's 5 hours, it's 5 hours.

I've just been real tired lately, and I wonder if that's a product of drinking Mountain Dew Zero Sugar and Monster and not water.

I can do that because I'm retiring in a few months, Walt, and it's great. But most people have defined hours at work and don't have that option and end up working tired.

Even when I was working, Davest, I don't remember having trouble with sleep. Yes, I woke up to the alarm, like most, but I never had problems with it, as far as I know.

But, yes, retirement is great. I hope you have plans and things to do, places to go. Retirement is not the time to lay around.

You look like Ritchie Cunningham (from Happy Days) in your avatar Walt! And Newbie doesn't even have an avatar! C'mon Newbie! Get an avatar! lol.. .

Newbie I think you should switch to water! Sugar free soda's and monster drinks are both bad for you in lots of ways... Just google it! If I drink even one monster I get a headache. and I'm super sensitive to all the fake sugars... We have 2 lemon trees outside (God I love Florida) so I always have a twist of lemon in my water, and drink water all day long... yeah I gotta pee a lot, lol.. but i think it's healthy, it flushes out the bad stuff!

I drink too much soda and not enough water though I am trying to change that. when at work I have one soda with my lunch and try to drink water the rest of the day.
Keep smiling. It makes people wonder what you are up to :-)

Richie Cunningham? The nerd? Oh, the agony! lol. Yeah, I know. Potsie was the real nerd, lol.

Loved that show. You know me and my Rock and Roll. Here's Richie with Suzi Quatro as Leather Tuscadero. I was in love with her back-up singers, The Suedes, Millie and Tillie. I finally found them on line earlier this year. Yes, they are twins, Jill Jaxx and Jan Bunker. And yes, they still sing.

In Johnny B. Goode, the giant lumberjack that stands up is Ben Davidson. He played football with the Los Angeles Raiders in the '60's and '70's.
When Richie and Leather "Chuck Berry" out the door, Richie comes back in covered with snow. The episode took place at a ski resort.

.
In 'I May Be Too Young," watch the sister in brown. I think she had the hots for Richie. Notice the first time Richie solos. Watch her. First you will see her blow him a kiss. Then, as they move back after the solo, she blows another kiss and appears to wink. I say there's a little sexual excitement there.
