Run forest run! Thing is here, if you want to run outside, you gotta get up so freaking early before it's too hot out! I have a treadmill so I can run whenever I get up, but then the dogs miss out. It's so great when I run with them in the morning, then I don't see them all day... lol... they come back, eat and drink and crash under my desk and don't make a peep... But yeah running, and I have a little exercise area out back by my hot tub, so I can do squats and lunges and some upper body weights...

I run 3 - 5 km. I try for every day, but sometimes a day gets skipped. Unlike Vicky, I have to wait till the afternoon till its reasonably warm. And because my g/f is not a morning runner. But sometimes (like today) by 4 in the afternoon we're just not in the right frame of mind.

I do have a treadmill I haven't used in ages (running on a treadmill is nowhere near as effective as running outside). And I do have weights but haven't used them in forever either. I really need to get the weights back into my weekly exercise routine.

Yep we are all going to have to change a lot of things in the coming months! I don't know if they will ever be normal again!

I try to walk cause that's the easiest for me. I sometimes do step ups on the tractor tire in the backyard. I am still going to work 2 or 3 days a week where I do a lot of walking.

We were talking in the wrestling group I belong to, about the possibility that people might not ever go to large events for a long time. Really don't know how everything is going to look on the other side. But it's going to change a lot of things.

It will take a while, but I think eventually people will start going to large events. I wonder if stadiums, concert halls and even airlines will face regulations to reduce dense packing of people.

The really big changes are going to be in economic infrastructure and international supply chains. A lot of countries are going to be a lot less willing to rely on international suppliers for critical goods and services.

That's probably a good thing. Especially since we are reliant on China for 80% of our medicines? I think that's what I read? How scary if they ever cut us off?

Yes. And we are reliant for N95 respirators on the US which can now cut us off. They cannot be exported from Minnesota to Canada. We'll probably have to buy them from China until this is over and we build our own factory.

Oh, and in China cinemas are starting to reopen, but the have to maintain social distancing. One empty seat between customers.

I don't see the theater thing. Waaayyyyy too many ways to spread that virus. As you walk and breathe, you exhale droplets which the person walking behind you walks thru and picks up. Plus unavoidable hacking and coughing. Also, one seat between people is not 6'. And what about the row behind you. Some guy behind you with the virus breathing all over you for 2 hours. Is that really what you want?

I love you folks up there. So, Canada! GET IT TOGETHER!

I wouldn't go to a cinema or a sporting event for quite a (several months) after the lockdown is ended. All you need is 1 infected person to cause a flare up.

Overall, covid does not seem to have hit Canada nearly as badly as the US. I think we started the social isolation earlier and more uniformly across the country than the US did. Quebec is our hotspot and there are actually interprovincial barriers to restrict movement within the country. Right now I would not be allowed to go to my cottage.

Without realizing it at first, I started exercising to be a competitive eater since the beginning of lockdown. Does that count as workout🤔🤣?
Having too much sex can cause memory loss. I read that on page 69 in a medical journal on the 4th of May in 2008.

At 77 years, I don't run many miles anymore, but my arms are in great shape. I do 12-ounce curls with my right, then go into my "exercise" room. There, as a proud and dedicated member of the VNA, I exercise my left arm until I can smile again.

LOL Walt, reminded me of that one episode of the Simpsons where Homer trains one arm to win an arm wrestling match.

After gaining 15 lbs plus in the last 10 months, I started eating properly and getting on the treadmill again this week. Been on it 5 times this week! I lost 4 lbs, but already gained back 2, lol... after going to eat at Texas de Brazil with Carmen on Friday night! I know it's all water weight because of the crazy amount of salt they put on everything but still it's disheartening, I knew it was going to happen though.... I'm thinking about buying one of those all in one home gyms, but can't figure out where to put it. The garage is super humid, plus then car will have to sit out and be destroyed by the sun. First world problems I know... lol...
