I've never heard of Veronica Vain. But her idea does not seem appealing. Advertising is distracting. If she wants advertising revenue, she could do erotic ads as an intro to her acts. The great majority of people don't like advertising, they tolerate it. That being said, I do NOT want advertising scrolling across my porn video. If that's where they decide to go, they'll go without me.

Everyone watches porn. Well, at least all men watch porn (and a rising number of women btw). Canadian scientists wanted to conduct a study on the effects of watching porn, so they were looking for men in their 20s who haven't watched porn before. Problem was they couldn't find any. Not one

But, I don't want to sidetrack the topic,
I think the only companies who would want to advertise in porn videos would be companies selling porn related products anyway. And they would have to do it in a non boner-killing way, because you won't buy their product if you hate their guts. So, if it's a way for the original owners of the content to finally make some money, I'm all for it, but when it's just another way for tube sites to make profit out of copyright violations, I'm against it.
I honestly think the problem with porn is that people feel they have the universal right to watch everything any time for free. Sure, the industry makes lots of money, but it's basically 2 companies that own everything.
That's bad for performers, independent creators and in the end, the consumer, because they end up with super generic content.
So, hopefully the shutdown of most pornhub content makes people appreciate porn more and they switch to the VNA or onlyfans.

Everyone would choose ad-free if given the choice.
If it is a free site and they are obtaining their content legally, well they have to pay the bills just like the rest of us. If they can put banner ads inside videos and keep people watching (instead of flocking to a different free porn site), I guess good for them.
If it is a site I am subscribing to, one of the things I am paying for is ad-free content. Having ads on a subscription site is a good way to get to me to unsubscribe.

I get advertising in almost anything...and who doesn't want a few anal lube ads popping up on Pornhub??? It's the way vendors get word out on their products and services...What I can't stand are pop-up ads and banners that are now placed within the shows that we are watching. They just pop up right into the screen, so not only do we get the usual allotment of dish soap ads, but now we get them within the show itself. I guess this is the way of the future, which is why I'm leaning more to pay per view services like Prime and Netflix. Hopefully they don't follow suit.
