im just thinking out loud please bear with me and rattling it through my head :)

the good part of technology is it makes life definitely easier and maybe debatably better....i am lucky as fuck that i can hang out with warm hearted caring naked loving hot women..so i think my life is better :)

for better or worse we now live in a digital world..for me as cerebral palsy person it is a gift from the goddesses i can communicate with the outside world..and if im lucky i can make people laugh...at the very least show them im an idiot lmfao

but reality says we ultimately have to choose which social platform serves our own personal needs..instead of trying to be the popular kid in school with the bitchin pink high tops lol

i am not on facebook or instagram...because i love nudity and those places hate nudity..also mark zuckerburg is creepy and he reminds me of pinky and the brain..where they try and take over the world

the other reality that i have...is i don't have a lot of money...so i can't pay for every subscription service on the planet...i have to pick and choose..i am lucky i get social security through my mom...im not an old person but i can get it because im disabled

so i can't do only fans...i think they need a community monthly subscription instead of paying each girl individually

now twitter wants to pay to read peoples tweets....celebrities and famous people are going to love it...because it will be like here and they have a fan basewho wants to see what they tweet while they are on the toilet lmfao

99% of the people i follow are porn people and i can totally easily see all those accounts becoming subscriptions...that breaks my heart because i would like to be delusional and think that i can make sunny lane or vicky vette laugh

im a little depressed right now

the good news is the people on twitter hate the idea for paying for twitter too

You pay with money or you pay with loss of privacy. One way or another, you pay. Really, I think the law should require advertising based services to provide an ad (and no data collection) version of their service in exchange for a monthly fee. Of course, there is no way to know the data collection won't still happen in the background.

you are correct lance honestly i think loss of privacy is the better option..we have been losing privacy slowly for the last 60 years...i figure people are buying my personal information at this exact second anyway lol

You can still follow girls for free, and see their posts, just they probably won't be naked/sex. This will mean the disgusting anal prolapse videos and things that traumatize kids won't be readily available to scar them for life. I personally think it's a great idea. All porn should be behind pay walls, with just teasers for free. Porn is for adults, not children.
:yeahbaby: Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.

I've never had a facebook or twitter account because I don't like the loss of privacy. But reading about the new twitter service, it sounds as though they are trying to compete with onlyfans (another service I don't have). I don't think the intent is to ever charge for the basis twitter service.

I love social media. It is a way to keep in touch with friends and relatives near and far. I spend hours each day between Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I don't give out lots of personal information in stuff like Facebook quizzes and the like. But I figure all my information is out there somewhere. If people want it, they can probably find it, either through me or through various Government agencies whose security protocols are even worse than mine. So I take what I believe are reasonable precautions and try not to worry about it.

For information, on OnlyFans, you only pay when you subscribe/follow someone. Some people have free accounts or run promotions with a free month to try and entice you to subscribe. LoyalFans has a two-tiered approach where you can follow people for free but most or all of their content will only be available if you pay to subscribe to them. Neither service asks to you pay to join the service, only when you subscribe to one or more accounts.

i was just reading that anyone...including a nobody like me can sign up for paid tweets...so its just not for porn people....people can pay me to read my stupid stuff even though im not a famous person...so the american dream now works for me too lol.....im still not paying for the kardashians or paris hilton....if im paying money i want to spend it here....only fans will probably die if twitter steals their model....the free accounts are not technically free on only fans the charge a $1 to see if its real every month plus and the processing handling fees...so technically the models are lying about free...but it sounds good to the public and that is what matters lol

You've nicely summarized the pros and cons of social media. And the reasons for choosing to get on board. As a personal matter, I've never felt the need to stay too closely in touch with people far from me. The story of my life - not sad and and definitely not bad, just the way my life evolved. I only got a skype account for one reason and I've only ever used it to talk with one person!

If someone started a paid, advertising free facebook type service, I would probably one sign up. One that doesn't try to link you with everyone else on the planet, but lets you decide whom you want to connect with.

I feel you. I never expected to have a more than a few friends.

For me, in the late 90s I joined a message board that centered around Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop gaming (including board games). This has been my favorite hobby since I was 18 (so 40 years now). I met a bunch of wonderful people online and we enjoyed each others' company so much that we eventually met up at a big annual convention. In our heyday around 2006-2008, the Saturday dinner reservation would be for 40 of us. We enjoyed that so much, some of us started running smaller local get-togethers wherever we lived to hang out and game during the year. I probably have more than 100 Facebook friends whom I met through gaming and the Internet, some as far away as Europe or New Zealand. Staying in touch with these wonderful folks is as important to me as staying in touch with all my local friends, which is why I spend so much time on social media.

My forte is more tete a tete than large gatherings. That's just my personality. Family and friends have always considered me a bit of an oddball.

I know someone who plays online video games. Sometimes after a game the participants will chat online and discuss ages - 17, 18, 20 typically. And then there is deafening online silence when he announces 71!!
