Came across this the other day - didn't they both appear in the Big Bang Theory?
Blonde was Sheldon's stalker and dark haired girl one of Raj's girlfriend (the one who escaped via the window in the coffee shop).

Well,
Yes, Garfunkel and Oates, they're quite popular, they were around as a duo before TBBT and I remember Kate Micucci being on Scrubs as Ted's Gf, that was probably 10+ years ago.
They had their own Netflix Special.

Having too much sex can cause memory loss. I read that on page 69 in a medical journal on the 4th of May in 2008.
Yes, as Liz mentioned, they tour as Garfunkel and Oates and they are hilarious. They have both been comedians for some time, but when they started collaborating is when their careers really took off.

And the stuff you could do in the 70's continued into The Muppet Show itself. In addition to Crazy Harry running around with his dynamite plunger, there's this cheerful little skit (both musical and hilariously weird)LizLemon85 wrote: ↑April 11th, 2021, 8:58 am Okay, for a second I really thought that the muppets did that song for real.
Since I've seen some early Jim Henson commercials where the joke is that one puppet repeatedly kills the other one for not liking a certain brand of coffee, I wouldn't be surprised
(not music related but hilariously weird)

That was hilarious!
Here's one that they apparently absolutely did do, because it's on what looks like an official Disney channel.
It makes me wonder what kind of drugs Disney is pushing. Also, it appears they re-sang the song with new voices.

Five years earlier, this much more watered-down version seems to have been laid on top of the movie soundtrack, with
brief clips from the movie to introduce the characters.

And here is the original movie clip that somebody else uploaded. I couldn't find an equivalent version on the official Disney channel.

There are several nice songs that the muppets did in their show. I was getting ready to post a link to one here, but YouTube recommended one that I thought I should post first. The synchronization is really good, and the creator says they didn't have to change the speed of any of the clips they used.
They also gave credit to the video that inspired them, and said they wanted to do the same thing but only with classic movies. Here is their inspiration video. I prefer the oldies version myself.

I love Uptown Funk, Erik! I think I caught a glimpse of Christopher Walken in one of the micro-clips in the mashup, which reminded me that he used to be a dancer. That reminded me of the Fatboy Slim video for Weapon of Choice where (except for obvious places where a stunt/dance double is used) Walken shows he still has it. My math tells me he was 67 when this video came out in 2010.

I didn't know Christopher Walken was a dancer until I saw this video some number of years ago. I thought it was a good song, and it surprised me how good Walken was in it. I never thought to look up his age, though. 67! Wow!Davest wrote: ↑April 26th, 2021, 10:28 pm I love Uptown Funk, Erik! Did you see him in Balls of Fury? What a fun film!
As for Uptown Funk, I don't recall hearing it before seeing the oldies video. So YouTube has done me two solids in recommending it. I just watched it again for probably the fifth or sixth time and I am still enjoying it.

Just thought I would add this clip from Lipstick on Your Collar (see shows on Netflix thread) - especially for Walt.

I was listening to the radio whilst perusing the threads, and they played an old Ian Dury song!
Really loved his "New Boots and Panties" album - so for those of you who don't know/can't remember him her he is - with a song that includes a Vicky!!

Very nice, up until the horrible reality at the end! It actually reminded me of Pentatonix.
This is my favorite Pentatonix video, because the make-up of the female vocalist looks like the aliens from one of my favorite Space: 1999 episodes:

I think the VNA Navy (probably should just be VNN) would be more like this ......

While there is a Master Bate, I didn't notice a Seaman Staines. That's too bad, because it's a great name!
Maybe I just missed it. Perhaps if I watch it again under UV light I will have better luck.
Meanwhile, for more nautical naughtiness:
