I'd have preferred the 1960's versions of Penguin and Joker.

Once, long ago, I saw a documentary, which I haven't been able to find since, about some goofing around on the set of the 1960's series.
Hopefully, most of this is memory and not imagination.

Batman (Adam West) is tied to a frame on the roof of a building, and is going to be cooked by a giant magnifying glass as soon as the sun comes up.
The Riddler (Frank Gorshin) is leaning in nice and close to gloat:

Batman: I'd like you to do me a favor.
Riddler: Anything within reason, Batman.
Batman: Don't touch my tights!

At which point The Ridder jumps back a couple of steps and throws up his hands, essentially doing jazz-hands. He is shaking his head no, while miming "no no, no no" with his lips. Frank Gorshin was the best.
