You can't see it here, but one night many years ago, myself and 6 others watched the worst movie ever made.
When I was stationed in remote Alaska, we used to get 7 movies a week to help keep us entertained. Somehow I got 'promoted' to projector guy. It was habit to open the box and take out each reel in turn (there were always 3.)
One night I showed reel one. Then, while I switched to the next, everyone got up, took their break, got a snack or whatever. Then we all sat down and watched the next reel. About 1/2 hour later, the sound rose up, TA-DAAAAAA and the words "The End" appeared on the screen. Well, we were all weirded out and started looking. Sure enough, the reel on the projector had a 3 on it and the one at the bottom of the box had a 2.
The point of the story being, the movie was so bad that 7 people watched it and no one missed the second reel.
