In this case, I think the reveal of the other cat at the end helps make it funny, even if it had been done with a more horizontal aspect ratio. I don't like the "cell phone" look for most photos and videos, though. Why waste the space showing a blurry version of what you are already watching? And, like you said, why can't they turn the camera to get horizontal shots?

I hadn't heard of Milana Vayntrub. Thanks for identifying her! I found a picture I can really relate to:

I am not sure if it is composed, though, since the heading under the picture was for some sort of fan casting thing.

This pic looks less doctored, and wikipedia confirms she played the role of "squirrel girl":

Erik, the first pic looks photoshopped to me. In the second, I don't know, but that looks like a backpack behind her. But, if it is, why are there no straps over her shoulders (Pulling them back and emphasizing that lovely chest of hers, lol.)

Milana was cast as Squirrel Girl in the Freeform Channel series New Warriors and the pilot was filmed but for some reason the show was cancelled before the pilot aired and they never filmed the rest of the series. One story was that Freeform couldnt find a place for it on that years schedule and dropped it. Another story says the pilot tested so well that Marvel pulled it from Freeform because they wanted to get it on a bigger network but no other network bought it. Who knows what the truth is. She did get to voice the character in several Marvel animated shows though.

Thanks for the info, greggl! As for the backpack, that's what I thought it was at first. Since Walt pointed out there were no straps, I took a closer look. I think it is meant to be a squirrel tail. She also has a little pair of ears on top of her head, I think.
