#1 applies to my dog as well. More than once I've forgotten and left some food out here at night. Bailey will get up in the night and I have to let her out. Then I go back to bed. When she comes back in, she'll push the bedroom door open and come in. Then I get up and go close the front door.
So my guess is that she comes in and first noses around until she finds the food. Maybe she smells it. So I get to wake up in the morning to find an empty dish or bowl, lol. I need to take better care with that. I'm guessing that what I eat is OK for her, but I don't like her eating all that extra food. Bless her heart.

I had another thought about this one, but I'm not going to repeat it here. (It has to do with where the finger might have been earlier. )
I can resist everything except temptation.
Now I've forgotten what more innocent location I might have obtained this from that they didn't have that same thought.

I do like cats, but I'm more of a dog person.
Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

I got a couple of strays here I've adopted. Sometimes 3 or 4, lol. I also occasionally give the pups next door a couple treats. Those poor guys are starving for attention. The one (Bailey's puppy dad, lol) just pushes right up against the fence when I reach thru to scratch him. I feel sorry for them, but there's not anything we can do. They're not being 'abused,' but I'm not sure they're even taken inside. He acts like he's starved for love.
(It's my belief that the folks next door are older Mexicans, possibly even illegal immigrants.Someone I believe are their kids come over fairly often. But there's really nothing going on to justify being snoopy. So I'll just keep feeding them snacks and giving a couple scritches through the fence.
