Do we even know what they are doing? Can someone in Texas connect to their site and follow the process? Unless there is per transaction fee (which I can't see them supporting), I can't imagine the cost would be too great. Or maybe I'm just naive...

Yes all the services charge a fee per user to get access, I've heard as high as 25 cents and low as 10 cents. I wouldn't mind paying a fee if I thought someone was at least going to join, most people take a look around watch a few promos, download a few free pics and leave. Sometimes they take notes of the names of the newest updates and then search those on the tube sites.

So now PornHub will have to ask for ID, which they can afford, but all the tube sites in Europe won't have to, so their traffic is going to go way up.

It's just a mess, all they had to do was ask parents to put the filters on their kids phones - the phones already come with them all - you have to do is turn them on.

I think that if the majority thought it had a good shot of being overturned they would have blocked it from being implemented while the challenges to it are going thru the system. They have done that before. Letting it stand while it is being challenged makes me think they wont overturn it.

While I applaud her looking at the camera the whole time (at least, I assume she did), I don't go for the "assisted reading whether you want it or not" that's becoming popular. First some airhead decided it looked cool when speakers didn't follow the camera, so the viewers are treated to minutes on end looking at the side of someone's face while they talk to someone else. Then suddenly everybody has to read what the person is saying, at the pace they are saying it. Sometimes the text is even made more "kewl" by changing size and colors. I hates it! When I see someone with obnoxious video techniques like that, I scroll the video so I can just listen.

Sorry, Vicky. Not meaning to hijack you. I just realized something while watching this. This is an assault on AMERICAN companies ONLY. While legitimate Americn companies are required to do this, European, Japanese, Chinese and many others are free to provide free access to some of the most horrific porn you can imagine. These are legal American companies which provide not only sex education, but INNOCENT pleasure to millions of Americans. (There are over 300 million people in the United States. You can easily believe that 2 - 3 million of us preverts are watching, probably more.)

So, while parents are letting the government raise their children, the chldren are smart enough to know how to find porn. I mean it's so hard. You have to go to the search bar and type in "fucking pictures." Then you have to scroll through a long list of porn sites to find one you like. Geez it's SUCH a PITA!!!!

All they've done is demonize a few legitimate business people in the United States. and you're going to have to gather up a HELLUVA following in order to convince the American people to overturn this stupidity. You see, the legislators only have to make it a law and it's done. To get that law UNdone, you have to do it by vote. That means it has to go onto a ballot for Americns to vote for (or against.) And you know that ain't gonna happen. I don't see anything like this EVER appearing on a State ballot ANYwhere.

It takes a whole year from the time the bill is introduced to pass through all the different levels before it's turned into law. There's plenty of time for people to speak up if they don't want them?

But one by one, state by state, I think we're up to 37 States now with various dates of effectiveness. Pretty soon it's going to be the entire country.

No one does anything to stop it. As a parent if you want to stop your children from viewing porn, you have to install filters on their phones, and filters on their browsers on their laptops and computers. There is no other way. These new laws are just completely ineffective at protecting children - obviously, all they are designed for is putting us out of business. Soon all the lawsuits will start rolling in, some of them have started already.

Sites like mine and all the VNA eventually will not exist because we cannot sustain this, all that will exist is the Mega sites like onlyfans.

However, democracy has to recognize and accept that there are people like this, and they are part of the electorate. My tendency is to say unfortunate, but that (unfortunately) would a sign of elitism, so I have to accept that all people have a right to vote however they wish, whether through informed decision, or based on reading tea leaves in a tea cup.

Well, that's the rule. Every citizen over 17 may (and should) vote. No comments about a person's knowledge of what is on the ballot. Way too many people lock onto what may be a personal issue for them, then will NOT listen to anyone else. In fact, they don't want you doing it because THEY don't like it. Now, you could say that the other side is the same. So then it becomes who is right. Then the bottom line is simply 'majority rules.' Problem with that now is that there are too many damn 'rules.' There are so many that any person can lock up any issue in the courts for years. It happens now all the time. I guess that's the basis of a democratic society. You let everyone vote. Problem is, you need intelligent leaadership that actually understands "National Policy," and will stand up and say, ENOUGH!

To me, the whole problem is the slezy tactics that some people use to get their way, and the courts lack of intelligence to see through all the garbage.

These laws, at the very basiz level, are generally someone's personal crusade. But here is Amendment One to the United States Constitution:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Keeping in mind, of course, that this is the United States Constitution. This amendment does not prohibit the individual states from standing up and doing stupid shit.
