OK sorry for posting this here but I have to vent. I HATE the fact that my stupid brother in law and mother in law do not like me. It really pisses me off..why cant people just be happy for other people instead of trying to ruin their relationship seriously..UGH it pisses me off. I know i shouldnt let it bother me but today it really got to me ...

Well that was a quick one off, lol . aww hun, its their problem and i'm sure if you showed them how nice you really are and how you like them, they'll see past anything that they just wanna see now.
How about inviting them over for a nice diner ? Steer clear of this subject its not a good idea to bring it up. Maybe they feel the same way about everyone, not just you. some ppl are like that, they see only bad things they want to see.
tip: be super nice to the mother, and the bro-in-law will come around
Ask her for her favorite things to do like how she likes to pass the time, hobbies, maybe she also likes cooking, bring up cooking, food, recipes your family likes, show her your slowcooker, oh she'll be impressed at how food tastes good, find a good recipe that you know she'd like and prep it for her !
Let things develop as they will, and go with the flow. ppl like to have fun, maybe they're the kind who need to be pulled on to the dance floor and shown a good time yunno? stuck up wallflowers but who secretly want to have fun ;-)
Get together and have a good time. Take them bowling or a nice resto.
oh! another idea, soon we'll have corn on the cob cook-outs, we call them "epluchette" here in Qc,
ppl love getting together, feeling part of a group, and here in Qc everyone just loves chucking our own corn, boiling it and eating it with others, music, burgers and drinks, beer, we make a picnic out of it, its all good !

Sorry, Britney, for all this difficulty. Yes, I know there are many good in-laws out there, but many times, in-laws are just pitas. Sometimes it's hard to figure out how someone we love could come from such weird/hateful/difficult/aggravating people. Is it because of what you do? Some people just can't handle this profession. no its not what I do at all they have a problem with his brother is just an asshole and his mom is a bitch i hate to say it but she is.. everything I do she has something to say about. I have known her for 6 years and its always the same..she always tells her to son to leave me..really nice right lol.. shes dumb... she told me today i was getting fat and needed to start losing weight... and she told me i need to learn how to cook since she came over for dinner and the stupid food wasnt the way she liked it .....so i told her its my house ill make what i want :) ughhh i wish she lived in another country i really truly do

People like that have an attitude that no-one can fix. And their aggravation is not with you. She most likely is that way with everyone, as something else in her life has given her a hard-on at the world. Sorry you have to deal with this. Like you said, the best you can do is to avoid her as much as possible. Someone who would eat your food and then bitch about how you made it has very deep rooted problems.

And it'll be much easier when you'll be in your own apartment or house. you'll have real freedom to do as you wish and not care.
