Ready for fall and winter??
Well summer is over and fall has started. Just wondering if everyone is ready. It has already started to cool down a little. But, I'm not ready. Not to wild on the cold weather. Summer guy here. The only thing I like about the fall is the different colors u get to see. Hopefully winter will go by fast and spring and summer can get here again.

cold, you want cold? Come to Canada lol
It's so cold that Shania Twain covered her midriff...
It's colder than a witch's tit!
It's cold enough to freeze your nuts off !
its so cold, we invented hockey just to stay warm while shoveling our driveways
what ? you thought 2 guys fighting during the game ? naw they just trying to stay warm, hugging
its so cold, we sell ice cubes to eskimos
its so cold, my is scared to pee outside. Ever touched your tongue to a frozen pole ?
It's so cold, we had to chisel the dog off a lamp-post
its so cold, Pet stores sell hamsters, gerbils and penguins
its so cold, Penguins come here to get out of the warm south pole ! [/color]
It was so cold that the Statue of Liberty put the torch INSIDE her dress.
It was so cold the lawyers had their hands in their own pockets....
The weather is great. My car won't start running and my nose won't stop.
Only people like "Ed" and "Bob" have enough time to write their names
in the snow.
There were these three Eskimos in Alaska, and one time while they were
at their local bar, they got to talking about how cold it was outside, and
how cold their igloos were. They could agree on everything but whose igloo
was the coldest, so they decided to determine who, indeed, had the coldest
igloo.
They went to the first Eskimo's igloo, where he said "Watch this!" and
poured a cup of water into the air. Well, the water froze in mid-air and
fell onto the floor.
"Not bad" said the other Eskimos, but each maintained their igloo was
colder still.
So they went to the second Eskimo's igloo, and he said "Watch this!"
and took a big breath and exhaled, whereupon his breath froze into a
big lump and fell to the floor.
"Wow, that's colder than mine! "said the first Eskimo. But the third
Eskimo exclaimed his was colder still. So they ended up at the third
Eskimo's igloo. He said "Watch this!" and went into the bedroom, threw
back the thick furs, and retrieved one of several small balls of ice
there. He took it, put it in a spoon, and held a match under it. When
it heated up enough, it went "FFFAAAARRRRTTT".
He won.

One thing Wisconsin does have is 4 distinct seasons. Right now the trees are starting to change colors, and in a couple of weeks, it'll really be pretty. I love the fall, with the crisp air and football. I could really do without winter though. I don't mind the snow, but when it gets down around 20 below zero (I'm guessing that you wouldn't like that Brit-lol) that really sucks.BritneyB wrote:i am looking foward to fall i guess but in florida ...thes kinda only two seasons.. hot and hotter lol. we dont get the nice leaves changing colors.. we do have some cold days though in the winter..and I HATE being cold lol

Well...down here in South Louisiana, we're still feeling the dog days of late summer...though it is a bit less hot and slightly less humid. We usuallly start getting cooler right around mid-October when the first "power fronts" start coming through from the north.
If we can get past the next 3 weeks of hurricane season (and we've been pretty damn lucky this year, as has basically everyone in the Atlantic Basin (*knock on wood*)), then it will be all sailing downhill. Who knows...we might even get snow down here like we did last year...lol

Being in the Southern Hemisphere Winter is long gone! Hardly noticed it though since the nights are cold and days are sunny and cool. It's now Spring and we've had warm dry days for 2 months without any rain (only dust). I'd better escape to LA for Fall and hell will freeze over!

Fall foilage in GA is absolutely stunning... the days are still warm, but the nights are cooler, it's a wonderful enchanting time of year. We can light a fire in the pit on the deck, and sit out with blankets, and be all snuggly and warm with tea or cocoa.... It has to be my favorite. Plus it's apple picking season! I'm so sad we are going to miss it all this year! Rokkerr and I would normally pick bushels of apples, they keep in the fridge for months when you pick them right off the tree... I usually make at least a dozen apple pies, 48 apple muffins, apple brandy cheesecake, omg all that stuff! I give some away and freeze some for later... yep I love the fall....
