Tomorrow, (sunday, jan24) camshow will be at 4 pm, we have to try to use some light coming in the windows because most of our lights are in Florida. So we made it earlier, Couldn't do 5 because we are chatting in c2c with Julie at 5. Also had major issues with Camz scheduling. I put my regular 6 pm show on hold and tried to schedule a show at 4, they said you can't put a show in the same 24 hours as any other show. So I tried to delete the 6 pm show completely and they will not allow me to delete it. So basically I am not allowed to do a show on camz in that 24 hour period. Can you believe that? I called their tech support and they said there is no way to fix it, that is how their system works and just live with it, so we are doing it on SCC. Which is good anyway, we haven't done a show on there forever, so will be a nice change.

just a suggestion, you have 2 vidcams , so you could do a show on both sites at same time.

In florida, we could actually do that, since we have the fibre optic internet, 28meg down/23-25meg upload speed, it's definately doable, but here in GA we only have the antiquated 3 meg down 500k upload speed. Camz by itself crashes with that, never mind trying to upload two feeds at once, lol...

We would have to run 2 computers and 2 videocams, one would have to stay on the tripod, and it would mean twice as many cables to trip over....

Camz is a lot like dealing with the Department of Motor Vesicles in most states. "That is the system we have just deal with it." That really means "F*%k you Customer we don't give Crap!"

Poor SCC has so few performers on lately they will love and invasion by you and the VNA!

Have you looked at GorillaPods (something like the linked item below)?


They come in different sizes for different weights. you wrap it's legs around a tripod leg, or any object for that manner, and the small ball socket lets you point the supported unit where you want it. You could use this for the fixed camera and then use the tripod pan-tilt for your controlled camera.

Yes we have. But you have to understand HT, each camera is plugged into an AC wall plug. Each camera is also connected to a laptop by a firewire. Then each laptop is connected to an AC Wall plug, and each laptop is also connected to the modem by a really long cable. Then all the lights are plugged into extension cords. By the time we are done, there are wires everywhere, and when you try to move one thing, like a tripod, you end up pulling a cable out or knocking something over. Each light is basically on a tripod too, so there are a lot of legs to get tangled in the wires too. It's really a pain. The simplest thing would be just leave a camera on a tripod, one light, and don't move around too much so you always stay in the frame, that's what a lot of girls do. But we find it is so much more interesting for the viewer to see different angles and pov's so we move around probably too much, lol..
