To all:

Here is what Nina wrote in her journal about her recent trip to Miami:

Miami

I'm soo the jet setter these days. I was flown to Miami on the 28th to attend the launch party for a new art magazine, Love Contemporary. It's published in English but the publishers are from Finland. I landed an hour late (the pilot was an hour late getting to the plane!) and had just enough time to get my makeup done and get to the venue.

Ville ("VEE-luh") and Paola are the two in charge. You may recall a few months ago my mentioning a straight photo shoot I did here in LA for the magazine. So, it'll be out soon. If you do a search on the title you may find where to buy it. I've got a series of photos and a long interview. The rest of the magazine is really nice, as well. It's the size of an album cover (for those of you old enough to recall albums!), striking but a bit ungainly.

The party was at a very hip club, Club Bardot. How hip? It has no visible name, it's not listed in any guide and they never answer the phones in the office. It's not too big, all one room, about 40' wide by 100-120' deep. It's set up like a living room, with nice seating areas at both ends, a pool table into which you don't have to feed quarters. In the middle of the room, along the long side, there is a small set up wit a piano, mic and drum set.

The art on the walls was excellent: large pieces all having to do with sex. Part painting, part collage, they were very striking. The artist's name is Euridyce, who happened also to be the girlfriend of the owner, Ari.

Nina has promised to send me a personally autographed copy of this magazine when it comes out!!
