Somehow I deleted my introduction. So here is another one. I joined the site in March, saw that Vicky was going to be doing a show, met her and invited her out to lunch. By the grace of the universe we clicked and have been dating ever since. I am by no means a pornstar but love to have fun with cameras. My true passion, other than of course VV, is writing and producing songs.

My real passion was making music too. I taught myself guitar when the Beatles emerged on the scene and I played for another 10 or 12 years in various garage bands. I didn't learn to read music until the 90's when I wanted to be more proficient on the piano.
I quit playing 5 years ago when arthritis made it too painful to play.
Sometimes while sleeping I dream of playing. It's a big heartache when I wake up.

I got a little ditty for you. The $64,000 question. On the RINGTONES page there are a few bars of a melody there. Can you name the song?

Wow Benny, I had no idea you had arthritis, you looked strong and healthy every time I saw you, but I guess it's one of those things, you never can tell. Do you take Aleve or anything? What about taking large doses of Coral Calcium? I heard that works miracles.....

I have no idea bout the song, but I'll send a movie to anyone who gets it right! I'll send out a newsletter asking the question! It will be fun!

Benny, love your new avatar..... sorry to hear about the arthritis.... I am not great on the piano but is the best way for me to write music. I just got a new one delivered a couple of weeks ago courtesy of a lovely blonde girl who likes to hear piano. Have to tried recently to see if your arthiritis is better?

To Vicky: Yeah, I tried glucosamine, chondroitin and msm. I think they're more geared to people with osteoarthritis. I have rheumatoid. I really screwed up and didn't see a specialist until my joints and bones started doing their own thing. I now take a whole bunch of medications. Prednisone, methotrexate, folic acid and give myself injections of enbrel twice a week. I take ibuprofin for the pain. When I don't think about it, it doesn't hurt too much.

To Rokkerr: Last weekend we went to a Christmas party and some of the guys I used to jam with were there. I picked up a guitar (I hadn't touched one in a couple of years. I gave my electric to my son and my acoustic to my daughter). I can't do chords but I can do a simple bass and lead riff. So much for that. But I think if I didn't quit playing the guitar I probably never would have gotten into photoshop. Not too much of a tradeoff but it gives me some satisfaction channeling my creativity into a different media.

To Bossman: You know what? The times I was around Vicky, I didn't feel any pain. I think whatever she's got, she oughta bottle it. She'd make a fortune. :)

Benny, that's really too bad I feel for you. I have several friends that have rheumatoid. All they can do is slow it, as far as I've heard anyway. Hang in there man...
As for VV, lets start bottling her quick. None of us feel any pain around VV except maybe Tony when he goes skating with us, LMAO!!!

No more music playing for me. My fingers are too messed up for that. I still play in my head though. Maybe Rokkerr can relate to this. Because I learned to play by ear, whenever I listen to music I envision what chords or notes are played in my head. Sounds crazy?
Like when a certain song is playing, in my head I'll go " Ok that's C, then D minor, G, E 7, A minor, etc.
When I used to figure out a song, I'd find the bass line first. Almost always when you find the bass note, you'll find the chord or a variation of the chord.
But to answer your question, no more music making.

I played piano as a kid. I even took lessons from age 5 to 10. I was pretty good by HS and then...I discovered HS and lost interest in piano. I still had the old Wurlitzer in my living room until a few years ago. We donated it to the elementary school down the street because I needed the room for the new HDTV. I was in my HS chorus for all 4 years too - sang bass. And, during junior year, I was in a small folk group. Two guys and two girls and we did this song called "Sinner Man" (it was Catholic HS after all, lol).

What a shame, I used to be able to read music and play off the sheets. Now I can barely remember what the chords are (C-E-G?). I picture the piano keys in my head - that's how I played too. I've got a good ear for music but didn't learn much music theory in HS (that was the goof-off class freshman year and the teacher was a nut job, lol). So tell me Benny or Dave, we can clearly hear the difference between major and minor chords, but what is the technical difference between them? I know C-E-G is a major chord so how would I change it to a minor chord? I've almost forgotten how to read music after all these years.

You're right Tony, the C chord is made up of basically 3 notes. C, E & G

To change it to a minor chord, you change the E note to E flat.

OK, class dismissed :D

OK, just brought up the piano keys in my head since I don't have the real one to look at anymore. Yep, I got it.

I think of music with mostly major chords as happy music and minor chords as sad music. Isn't that ridiculous? Why does it strike me that way? I must be sad because I like music with a lot of minor chords the best. I can't put my finger on it but I prefer minor chords in the stuff I listen to the most.

OK, I'm weird. That's why I'm here... :D

You're not wierd. Most sad music is made up of minor chords. Hey, we have more in common than just porn!

Funny that y'all would talk about music training...I am not a piano player, but my original major in college was instrumental music education; I was studying to become a teacher of band. So I know all about the chord progressions....although, in a fundamentally different way than playing the piano or the guitar. Try attempting to arrange and compose for an entire 100+ piece band.

Unfortunately, I was never able to finish my degree due to issues that will remain personal....but one day, I will, knock on wood, complete my education and get back into the game of teaching music.

And actually, Tony and Benny, there are variations to that C major chord...you could either keep it as a three note chord (C-E-G), or jazz it up by adding a seventh (either C-E-G-Bb or C-E-G-B-natural) or even adding a ninth (C-E-G-B-D). And don't get me started on chord progressions..... :D :D

Hey...with our talents, perhaps we could write background music for Vicky's scenes...can't do much worse than what passes for porn music these days.....heheh

You mean like the music that used to suddenly start playing in the background of those 80's porno flicks when the action started? Now that was some pretty funky/raunchy music.

Has anyone heard the music to Big Wet Asses #3? The intro song? OMG it's hilarious, the nutty director William H wrote it and played it, he's a one man show... the problem is, once you hear it, you can't get that damn song out of your head forever! I'll see if I can download just the audio for you and put it here...

I played trumpet in HS, was pretty good, usually 1st or 2nd chair. Gave it up, tho when I joined the AF and never picked it up again. Have always wanted to learn the guitar. Being an old 'rocker' (mid-late 50's, early 60's, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Jerry Lee, etc.), my 'fantasy dream' is to play "Let It Rock" with my son on bass. I know it won't happen, but I got a guitar about 3 weeks ago. Am trying to learn scales and chords first. The notes you guys put up have all ready helped me. More, more, more. I want to get good enough to play boogie woogie while Vicky dances. Howze about it, Vicky??
