OK, I went for Moe. I started at the bottom and went for the first one that didn't have a sponsor, thinking most folks start at the top and work down (yeah, I'm bassackwards in about everything I do.) How do you pick just one?? It really astounds me how people mistreat animals. I have been wanting to adopt a small dog and kitten to grow up together. I think you've moved me closer, Dave and Vick. My sweetie has a dachshund (Sammy) and two mostly black cats (Count and Gidget.) When I go visit, even the cats will come to the door to get their scratch. Try to help out if you can, guys. It's a great cause and those pets need us.
Sammy greeted me once by nearly taking my finger off. Last time I'll stick my fingers in the mail slot, saying, "Hey, Sammy, it's me."
Growl Growl Bark Bark BITE!!! Followed by a strangled moan from the front stoop - "YEOW!!! You miserable, dirty ratzenfrater %#*%(#@!!!"
So now I wait til Sweetie opens the door. A lot less painful.

Great post! Glad to hear some sponsoring is going on. It is shocking what some people do to their pets. These guys seem to do a great job for the lucky ones that end up in their care.

Also, I'm sure you all know, each town/City of measureable size has some sort of animal rescue. I have donated a couple times here in EP. You don't have to support their annual budget, any little bit helps.

It is GREAT to see a porn site where we actually try to help other things in the universe....... Vicky and I are big fans of that animal charity and think it is great to see animals that have been abandonned helped by strangers. Once we are back in Atlanta we plan on spending time over there.....

Hey Rokkerr, If you go to visit Rachel and Buzz in AZ (talk to Vicky about that, 'k) ... you'll have four (4) doggies to pet and admire: Tony, Caesar, Josie, and her newest baby, Neo!!

I found my dog. OK, I didn't find my specific dog, I found the one I want. I know Sasha and Vicky are dog lovers, and I'm betting many of you are, as well. One of these lives just down the street (the chain link pic) and every time I walk by there I want to steal it and hide it in my home.
I would like to ask that you keep your eyes peeled. The breed is a Bichon Bolognese (not Bichon Frise.) I am willing to travel to pick it up. I don't care the source, meaning, animal shelters or for sale somewhere. Being on limited income, I would hope to spend maybe $100 or less, but I understand prices might range around $400 - $500 for sale, while shelters would be closer to the $100 range. Finding one in a shelter will probably be next to impossible. I would certainly consider $500, and would probably find a way to make it work.
They are small, puppies being around 2 pounds and an adult 5 - 9 pounds. Hold out one hand, palm up and cupped. That's about how big a puppy is. And, I WANT ONE!!!
So, please, should you become aware of one that may be available, I would sure appreciate a heads up. Thanks, folks. Oh, and, in case you talk to someone about this, Bichon Frise is not pronounced like Julie and Stiffy and Ht having a great winter. I'm not really sure how it is pronounced, but I'm pretty sure it's not like, "Bitchin' Freeze," anymore than the one I'm looking for is pronounced like my favorite sandwich. (i.e., Bichon Bolognese is probalby not "Bitchin' Baloneys.")

One of the problems with adopting an abandoned dog is that the small breeds are too popular. After losing our Llaso Apso 7 years ago we went to the dog shelter several times but all they had available were the larger breeds,Rottweiller, Alsatians etc,and we felt unable to cope with them,so we make occasional contribution to the shelter,if you are unable to adopt a dog maybe you would consider that option.
Meanwhile my daughter has a 3yo black Lab and a recently aquired puppy,a Jack/Yorkie cross and I walk them both each day.
ps I signed up for a porn site,..it says a lot for Vicky and Dave that this subject is acceptable here,

I want to go buy a freakin puppy so baddddd, for now I just play with my neighbors kitty. This thing is like a dog, once you pet her she just follows you everywhere and then you feel bad when you leave her outside lol I'd seriously hurt someone badly if I saw them abusing an animal.

Oh, I know the small ones go fast from the shelters. That's why I said chances are slim. To hopefully find one locally, I would have to go there every day in hopes of finding what I want. That's why I may just have to buy a puppy from a reputable agency (or steal the neighbors, teehee. And, no, I would never do that.)
And, I all ready contribute to Atlanta Pet Rescue annually, thanks to Vickys urgings here. Vicky started this thread. Thank Vicky for being such a caring person. This site is not just her sex life, it is her life.

I've never gone to an animal shelter, but at the pet store that we buy stuff I always put my change in a jar to support the local S.P.C.A.
I do love pets, I just don't get to attached to them. I paid $5 for a dog once, I thought that was a lot For everyone that gets an animal at a shelter I think that's so sweet of you

That's where I'd prefer to get mine, but li'l cuties like this, if they get there at all, don't stay long. I could get something else at our local shelter or animal rescue, but I really don't want anything too big. Maybe I'll just go visit our local shelters and see what they have.
