Yeah that's why we are not putting curtains up in the back yard, we don't want anything to spoil the view at all, and it's very private. We have rarely seen anyone since we moved in. Then wouldn't you know it! The minute we do a camshow there are people walking out there!

There is quite a bit of wildlife here, just different. When we were in the mountains in GA, we had lots and lots of deer, and wild turkey, and a few bears. Here we have all sorts of birds, storks, egrets, herons... I'm still learning what they all are. Some of them are huge. Yesterday in the trees above the hammock, I watched a large red headed woodpecker. He looked just like Woody the Woodpecker that I used to watch on TV when I was 5! Anybody remember that show? He was going at it, woodchips flying.... makes you wonder how they are built, I would get an aweful headache banging the tree like that with my head! Hurts just thinking about it.

Anyway in this one really large tree in the back, there are a couple of hawks, it seems like they are always in it. Maybe there is a nest in there. They are always circling around, screeching, kind of scary in a Hitchcock kind of way.... They have quite the wingspan. Today Dave said he was sure something fell out of the tree so we went over to look, and sure enough it was a fish! A nice big fat one! We left it there, figuring they'd come back for it...

This is a picture of the beautiful tree that the Hawk's think they own. I won't let Stinkie out there alone!

Wow. Be careful with Stinkie and Loki. Those hawks might be big enough to carry one of them away. And if not they can still cause some real damage!

Have you seen any of them big-ass spiders yet? They are black with maybe 3 yellow bands around their middle. Their body is about 1 - 2 inches long and slender. Big, scary looking sum bitches. They used to build their webs in the waveguide supports when I was in Canaveral. Best thing about them in the morning is the webs would collect the morning dew. Pretty nice looking, actually, all of the little dew jewels seemingly hanging in the air.
