If the government does that and they prevail - the clubs wll "launder" the tax into the drinks and into the cover charges that the patrons will pay to enter the establishment. Who will ultimately pay for it all? - you - the guys will.

Otherwise the clubs can take it right off the top... through the girl's tips...causing an even worse uproar!! ...

Don't be surprised if they try to do both things at the same time...

There is no doubt in my mind that they will change the laws, so they can get their 25% vat on the cover charge. And I wouldn`t be surprised if the stripclubs raised the drink prices either. So you are right, at the end of the day it is us, the customers, that have to pay the price. I just have to wait and see what happens when they are coming with their budget next fall.

You were talking about the government moving in. It's really different where I'm from - on Long Island - the biker clubs, particularly the Motorcyle club called the Pagans - they run everything from guns, drugs, liquor, out of the strip clubs and they control all the girls. Double cross these guys and you are dead... The Pagans' rivals - you may have heard about them, they're called - the Hells Angels...And they aren't well liked here. They've been known to bring in sawed off shotguns and pull robberies etc. on each other. Crazy stuff!! A few years ago, they had a war going on with each other. This led to a gun fight a few years ago with the Nassau County Police in a Plainview motel - where a tattoo art exhibition was going on - and they shot up the front glass windows of the motel...and bystanders were hurt and injured. Of course two Hells Angels members were killed along with one Pagan member as well.
