Battle: Los Angeles

All I can say is Oh My Fucking God!!!! This film is infuckingcredible!

The main reason people see a film is to be move emotionally. That's what will make you say "I liked, loved, or hated, that movie". From the writers perspective, the emotional impact starts with the words FADE IN. The Director channels that emotion and translates it to film. Sometimes there is a break down of emotional communication between Writer and Director, but not in this case.

This film gave me goose-bumps (the good kind), and made me tear up. It took my heart on an emotional, adrenalin fueled roller-coaster ride. There were moments when the hair on my arms stood straight up!

The characters are so realistic you become attached to them almost immediately.

Aaron Eckhart plays the lead role and does an insane job at portraying a Marine Staff Sergeant that wants to retire. He's done his time, shed blood and tears for country, now all he wants to do is relax at the Bunny Ranch...He doesn't say that, but you know that's where he's going!

Basically, this alien army has invaded 20+ major populated cities world wide in an effort to annihilate our species and pilfer earth's resources. Los Angeles is the last one fighting to hold on.

Some may look at this film as a Marine recruiting tool, because it is heavy with Marine camaraderie and language. But not to the point where you have had to have served in the military to understand what they are saying.

This film has got to one of THE best military/Scifi dramas made in the past two decades.
