Fuel Price here is on the increase too, I paid $1.46 per litre on the weekend; they say it could be over $1.50 in the near future.

Gas up $0.15/gal here in the last couple days. The biggest point for some sort of gas price collusion is that, in my area there are 4 stations from 4 different companies. Even though they are 4 different companies and each does not refill their tanks every night, every station goes up at the same time, all three grades.
I used GasBuddy to look for prices and found a station for $3.53 about 15 miles away. My local stations had all gone up to $3.79 and one to $3.83. That sounded like a great savings, so I drove to the cheaper station. After getting home, I went back to GasBuddy and decided to try their trip calculator. Accoding to all that, I saved $3.52 by buying the cheaper gas (13.5 gal.) According to the trip calculator, at my specific gas mileage, it cost me $5.10 to make the trip. So, I spent $5.10 to save $3.52, a net loss of $1.58.

GasBuddy has a ton of very useful tools. I intend to use it a lot more. It looks like, for example, that, if the stations are within a few blocks of each other, it pays to go to the cheaper one. If the station is 15 miles away, it depends on your gas mileage, but at 20 mpg, it would have to be a lot cheaper to make a 30 mile trip worthwhile.

Currently £1.41 ltr(about $2.10). so at approx.4ltrs to the US gallon thats $8.40 a gallon. It's predicted to reach £1.50 before the end of the year.
I'll keep my car and use it sparingly but I've finally applied for a bus pass, free for the retired.

I topped off my tankfor my trip tomorrow. I knew it wouldn't take much, so I just went to the $3.75 station. 2.7 gal cost me $10 and change. That still hurts. I remember trading a Timex watch once for 5 Gals. when I was 22 or so.

Some guy knocks on the door and said he ran out of gas. He has a 2 gallon gas can and asks if I'd fill it for $5, I said for $10 yeah. He stood there and called me a bitch! Last I saw him he was walking to town, it only 8 miles

Gas in Abilene was from $3.65 to $3.79. The GasBuddy map had more green areas on Sunday than Friday, meaning lower prices. But still, the lowest I saw was $3.65. I topped off in Sweetwater at $3.65, then filled up in El Paso at $3.58. That price, tho, is the rare exception.

I paid on Thursday night, $4.03/gallon. That equates to $46.50 for the fillup.

Consider yourself lucky John! Gas down here is around $3.75 a gallon and I'm paying about $65 -$70 every two weeks. I have an 18 gallon tank though.

I usually fill up when less that 1/2 empty, just because it doesn't hurt so much. But at todays prices, even 1/4 tank doesn't help when you realise you just got 4 gallons and you're out a twenty dollar bill.

Gas went up yesterday to 1.22/l. I was going to get fuel and gas last week for the farm but thought I should wait, I thought it would go down! I don't want to know much I saved waiting for it to go up 8 cents/liter
