They're talking about rolling blackouts here due to the Arizona fires. Seems like a lot of our power comes from Arizona and the power lines are close to the fires. In the winter blackouts I had propane heaters. But, it takes power for coolers.

Was 93 here today! We found our first Kayak on Craig's list! Going to pick up the 12 footer tonight for Rokkerr! No fair it's my birthday and he get's his first! lol... still looking for a 10 footer for me.... Went to Sports Authority yesterday, they are crazy expensive new.....

Well, happy Birthday, Vicky! I hope Loki and Stinky give you mega birthday licks and that you find that 10 footer you've been looking for.

Here in North Georgia is has been hot as blue blazes. We've had nearly 100 F for over a week, and the Weather Channel said it was going to be the same through next Tuesday. I decided if there was no rain until Tuesday, it was the perfect time to stain my deck last night. Stupid Weather Channel. I finished the first coat last night around 9 and sometime today it RAINED! And Vicky knows how big my deck is...yes, fellas, there was an "e" in that word.

Yeah, about 60. It's 100 again here today. 78 at 6 am. I'd kill for a couple 60's. You gots too much cold and I gots too much heat.

Kind of like going to work. You ever notice that, while you are driving to work, there's always a bunch of people in the other lane going the other direction to work?

Didja ever think that, if all them people would just move near their jobs, and if everyone in your lane would just move down their near their jobs, we could pretty much eliminate Traffic jams??

And, why the hell do they call it "rush" hour, anyway? They should call it "Parking" hour.

Why do they call 'em buildings when they're all ready built? They should call 'em what they are. "Yeah, I work in that Built over by the freeway."

How about apartments? Why do they call 'em "apartments" when they're all together? "Yeah, I live in that Together over on 17th Street."

A suburban family lives in a separate "built." Aren't they living in an "apartment?" I mean, it's "apart" from all the others.

Why is TheOldGuy called a "nut case" when there's no walnuts in there, and he's obviously insane.

Easier said than done...we're talkin' Jax, FL bruddah, ruled by the "moral majority" (aka baptists)...I'm shocked we still have the few titty bars we do have...in fact, it was the mid 80's when we last had a show bar which brought big name stars (Kitten Natividad, Rhonda Jo Petty, Morganna "The Kissing Bandit" Roberts to name a few)...here's some trivia: Jax is the infamous city where Danni Ashe was arrested for nude dancing...Danni has said, after the arrest, she took time out to asses her career, purchased a book on HTML, and that as they say, is the rest of the story. The slim photo op opportunity I might have, if our General appears in Orlando which is a short drive...but now that I'm a VNA member, me can keep up with future appearances.
