Wow, that's news to me. I saw you have Powder in your top friends on myspace. Maybe he can shed some light unless it's something they can't talk about. I can see if he quit, but fired? Wow. I'll look into it later. KSEX without Wankus or Lorainiac and Cuz is not the same. Thanks for the heads up. I willl check into it later Vicky.

Wankus Gone From KSEX:

Apparently KSEX has determined that Wankus is no longer worth his upkeep, terminating him from both his job as Program Director and on air personality. Wankus lived and breathed KSEX for the last couple of years but seems to have taken a low profile since hooking up with ex JKP girl Tyler Faith.

Wankus claims that he cant be fired because he is part owner, but it's a pretty good bet that Wankus won't be back on the air at KSEX anytime soon.

Best wishes to Wankus...I always liked the retard....

BURBANK, Calif. — Wayne C. Lewis, aka Wankus, the co-owner of KSEXradio.com who was program director and on-air personality at the Internet radio station until he was dismissed on the air by majority owner Jon Belinkie last week, has responded to his firing with a lengthy post on his personal website.

Edited excerpts from the post follow:

"[T]his is my official statement regarding my termination as show host and Program Director of KSEXradio.com ... Despite what Jon [Belinkie] designed to appear like a one-sided, 'I’ve had enough, he’s gone' public employment execution, the truth of the matter is that both of us had reached a point that a change was necessary. For me, there are various reasons I was fed up with our partnership, reasons that you could generically title 'irreconcilable differences' ....

"Disagreements regularly occurred in regards to day to day responsibilities. ...

"To be clear, since there are assumptions and rumors rampant around the web, I was a 20 percent owner of KSEX, and was awarded that percentage of the company based on the fact that KSEX was my invention, creation, [and I] continued creative contributions and invaluable efforts towards keeping the brand alive over the years even when financials were gloomy. ...

"[T]he tension between Jon and myself came to a head on Thursday, May 10, 2007, while we had an afternoon of heated arguments. Our last conversation pretty much acknowledged a mutual agreement that we couldn’t work together and it seemed and felt, probably to both parties, that one of us would have to figure out a way to move on, or at least give in on some of the points that caused so much tension between us. The next thing I knew, I was receiving calls from scattered friends stating that the KSEX CEO called into one of our shows, live on the air and publicly terminated me. ...

"I’m capable of starting a competitor for KSEX, especially with no NON COMPETE clause in my contract. Yet as a 20 percent owner, under cooperative, respectful and professional conditions, I would have no interest in competing with my own product. ...

"At KSEX’s worst, the early days of 2001, we played to more then 10 users. It’s been a long time since we’ve had an audience in two digits all together ... KSEX has a large 'at work' user base, military and college dorm. Many users now have hookups that put their web cams on their television sets and are watching KSEX as a TV show. ...

"I invented KSEX. Like it or [not], like me or [not], this was my creation and with the help of many talented and dedicated industry personalities and staffers, this place was a very special place for many people ... [W]hile an average deejay leaving a post and moving on doesn’t normally warrant a goodbye show or any big focus, this is the house that Wankus built. Jon’s actions gave me no goodbye to my fans, my staff, my favorite guests or a final sign off on a microphone that ... will probably reek of my breath for years to come. That still hurts me a week later. ...

"I received incredible support, offers, emails and found allies I never knew I had, contacting me and offering to help in any way. I really appreciate it. I also got incredible support from most of my staff ... The fact that you support me with your kind offers and frequent calls is enough to show me your character and your loyalty. I am already knocking down doors in a variety of arenas and piecing together some really exciting things ... n coming days, I should be hitting you with an absolutely incredible rapid rebound announcement. ...

"As final arrangements are agreed upon and executed between the split of Mr. Belinkie and myself, and my affiliation with KSEXradio.com, I will not be commenting further on the subject. I will also refrain (at this time) from elaborating on my earlier points regarding my discouraging relationship with the current CEO as advised by my attorney. ... "

KSEX co-owner Jon Belinkie told XBIZ, "Nothing that has transpired in the last week is in any way a personal commentary of what I think of Wankus, personally or professionally. He's a talented man. He is not a businessman. Had he been a businessman, a lot of the issues we have had ... would not have happened."

Lewis confirmed to XBIZ that he had no further comment.

Lewis' complete post is available at his personal website.

Wankus out at KSEX, fired by phone on air

It is hard to imagine KSEXRadio without Wankus, the person who undisputedly made the station the unvarnished garage band of porn industry discussion.

"Well," Wankus qualified today, "if you think KSEX sucks, that's me, too."

Wayne "Wankus" Lewis joined KSEXRadio in late 2000 after years as a radio DJ in regional markets around the country. He joined at the request of former owner the late Mike Rick.

"I coached his kid in Little League," Wankus said, "and he called me up when he'd bought the station from the former owner in late 2000. He said 'I'll stay out of your way.'"

Wankus brought an abrasive, incisive, often hilarious East Coast style to the airwaves, building a loyal fanbase with "PJ"s ("Porn Jockies") that worked for $20 an hour. Wankus is responsible for most of KSEXRadio's identifiable trademarks, from its music to its commercials.

Following Rick's death, Rick's brother, Chris, took over the station but he eventually sold to a four-person partnership that included Sean Trotter, a shareholder in Adam & Eve, a "silent partner" named Gene who was a restarauteur, Josh Aaron, and Jon Belinkie. There was talk of taking the station to satellite radio, moving the station to larger quarters from its current Burbank location, and a general restructuring managed from afar. Wankus continued as Program Director.

"There were big plans," Wankus said of the new regime, which began early last year. "But (despite Trotter's involvement) the new owners were outsiders trying to run a porn business."

Tyler Faith, who today resigned her PJ gig in protest of Wankus' firing, concurred.

"It has been a very rough year," she said.

I asked what the biggest problem seemed to be in outside ownership.

"This is a west coast industry and you have to respect that," Wankus said. "When I moved to Santa Barbara from New York, it took me four years to talk without people wanting to fight me."

(I had earlier asked Wankus to please slow down; I'm from the East Coast myself and I have grown used to people talking at a leisurely pace since I moved here.)

"...so I understood the difficulty," he said. "They have very New York-y, hard-sell tactics. You can't yell at (AVN president Paul) Fishbein about the AVN ads. I had to do a lot of apologizing for them. But you can't manage a business by vacation, which is what these guys were doing. You have to get in and get your hands dirty."

On Thursday night, PJ Lorrainiac's show started with a call from partner Jon Belinkie. He informed her on the air that Wankus was fired and that she was the new Program Director.

"I hired Lorrainiac six years ago," Wankus said. "She had just started the show, everybody was having a good time..."

Wankus and Faith are dubious of the station's continued success, because they don't feel the owners know the territory. But this pales in comparison to the method of the dismissal.

"(Wankus is) responsible for KSEX getting to where it is now," Faith said, "and you don't treat someone like that."

Many companies in the adult industry are notorious for shortchanging their employees, but this reflects the entertainment industry in general, and maybe even Los Angeles (that is why I work for myself). These companies might survive based on short-term disrespect to the people who work for them, but it could be argued that they'd do a lot better if employees were treated better.

"(Belinkie) and I would have these screaming phone calls that we'd end with 'I'm hanging up now. I'll call you tomorrow,'" Wamkus said. "We didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things, but we all wanted the success of KSEX."

Both Wankus and Faith admit they feel relieved after what they think of as a year of struggle and butting heads with the new owners.

"Now he can devote 100 percent of his time to my company (Team Tyler)," Faith said. The couple are negotiating a new series with a major studio, the details of which will be announced soon.

"I'm getting my ducks in a row," Wankus said.

I asked what the secret of success in the porn business was.

"You can tell who's going to succeed when people stop getting the googly eyes with naked girls all around them," he added. "These guys still have the googly eyes after a year."

Wankus Returns
By LUKE IS BACK |

From Adultfyi.com via XPT:

PORN VALLEY, CA – Well known, adult entertainment personality, Wankus, returns to the internet ‘cyber-waves’ this Wednesday, slotted for the same hours he commanded for nearly six years, 7-9PM (pacific). Although, this time when the ‘says it as he see’s it’ deejay cracks the microphone to greet his audience, he’ll have to make sure to remember to open and close his formalities by promoting PrimeTimeUncensored (PTU) [www.PrimeTimeUncensored.com].

“I worked on so many formats and for so many broadcast stations over my eighteen year radio career, some stations within a sister company at the same time but two completely different formats,” Wankus remarked. “I don’t anticipate a slip up in that regard. I just hope my loyal ‘10’ fans from the other place tune in, cause I sure miss them (laughs).”

Recently released by way of a shocking public termination (live on-air), presented as a surprise announcement and headed by a majority partner of his former adult internet radio station (KSEXradio), Wankus since has kept a relatively low profile after his public response shortly following his dismissal. Spending his days taking meetings, entertaining offers and plotting the most logical course of action for his next official career step, Wankus claims to have something golden up his sleeve but refuses to give any details until it’s solid.

But in typical enough is never enough fashion, Wankus, a former mainstream voice over actor from the hit television series, Transformers–Robots in Disguise, recently agreed to meet with PTU Head Honcho, Michael Fattorosi and Production Manager/Business Partner, Vanessa Blue.

Following a very productive and enjoyable chat, Wankus has agreed to perform a two hour, once a week , for one month, “Special Guest Host” spot on Prime Time Uncensored (the next four Wednesdays from 7-9PM). Wankus will be paired with his stunning fiance, former Jill Kelly Productions Contract Star, Tyler Faith, and is planning to use the opportunity to keep his “chops” up, have a little fun and remind his friends and foes that Wankus lives—which interestingly enough almost mirrors the new name of his show, simply, “WANKUS LIVE.”

“People all over the world know ‘The Wanker Show’,” Wankus stated. “We were constantly featured multiple times on HBO, Showtime, iNDemand, Playboy, The 10 Networks, VH-1, E!, The LA Times, Daily News and SKY TV in London, we’ve been around the block. But Wankus Live pretty much spells it out and considering half of my email addys start with WankusLive@… it makes sense.”

WANKUS RETURNS ON-AIR: Same Time, Different Channel
Current mood: chipper
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

FROM XFANZ.COM

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Wayne C. "Wankus" Lewis, former program director and on-air talent at Internet radio station KSEX, will host a new show on Internet TV station Prime Time Uncensored for the next four weeks. The show, to be called Wankus Live, will be webcast on Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. PDT.

"I have a couple of things that I'm getting ready to pounce on, so I can't do a full-time show," Lewis told XFANZ. "I was asked if I could fill some space, and I said absolutely. I'm a media whore. I'll do anything, as you know. I've been having withdrawals. I have some bits planned: I'm going in search of my 10 fans. We're going to have some fun in a different environment."

"Wankus was the face and voice of KSEX for six years," Prime Time Uncensored President Michael Fattorosi told XFANZ. "Even for four weeks, I think he'll be a tremendous asset to Prime Time Uncensored. I think it'll be a lot of fun. He has that irreverent style that I like. You don't know what's going to happen next."

For more information, visit the Prime Time Uncensored website and WankusLive.com.
