Its a long time since I've seen that type of butter dish. Alas, times have changed so much. Those dishes are from an era when life styles allowed the consumption of much larger quantities of butter. And also, butter put out on the table got used up much more rapidly. Glad to share! I don't remember what made me want to look her up again (other than the obvious). While looking her up, I found out that her sister Cassandra was married to John Denver for 5 years.
